I recently had to cancel my reservation at The Fairhaven Hotel due to an unexpected illness, and unfortunately, my experience with their customer service has left much to be desired. Despite reaching out promptly to explain my situation and request a refund, I was met with a firm refusal. The hotel’s cancellation policy was not flexible enough to accommodate my circumstances, which was quite disappointing. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but a little compassion in times of need would have gone a long way. The hotel itself may have great amenities and a lovely atmosphere, but my experience with their handling of cancellations has overshadowed any positive aspects. I would advise potential guests to carefully consider the cancellation policy before booking, especially if there’s a chance that plans may change unexpectedly. Overall, while I cannot speak to the quality of the stay, my interaction with the hotel regarding my cancellation has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I hope they can improve their customer service approach in the future.

I love the room and amenities offered. Clear instruction, clean facilities, and warm hospitality. Reasonable price and convenient accessibility to different locations (shopping centre, convenience stores, restaurants, cafe and pubs,…)

Had such a lovely stay! Room was clean and service was excellent. Was lucky enough to eat at the pub as well and the food was incredible. Would definitely recommend to anyone planning to pass through Shaftesbury.

Very good location, just outside the Weymouth station, however, the rooms are crampy and small. the service was good

Check in在下午6點就結束了，酒店發的郵件沒有注意看，結果到酒店門口鐵將軍把門。沒辦法，衹能硬着頭皮敲門，好在店主一直在等候，開門那一刻我懸着的心放下了。店主是一位英國紳士，他非常熱情，幫我們把行李提到樓上，還給我們介紹晚飯地點以及便宜的泊車地點。特別要提一下的是，酒店早餐非常好，店主都親力親為照顧客人，我們非常滿意。我自我感覺店主對中國客人尤其熱情（實際他對所有客人都很好），原因是他有一位北京太太。雖然這次因為她回北京而沒有機會見到面，但是一通越洋電話就把我們的感情拉近了。真心希望所有在海外打拚的同胞事業蒸蒸日上，我們有機會一定再頂你們。
