Overall the trip is quite nice, only the fan can be squeaky, but air conditioning works fine, bathroom is okay, only the water heater knob can be sometimes not functioning. Parking space can be find easily

Signel Hotel is located strategically at the centre of Kota Kinabalu City. It is situated near to major shopping malls and tourist attraction spots. The hotel offers basic amenities for guests, and it is comfy to stay for a short getaway. I would recommend for all solo travellers to choose this hotel to stay.

Great location close to many restaurants & shops, the waterfront, markets & minibus departure point. Clean & comfortable. Shower had good pressure & hot water. We had the 1st floor room next to the stairwell but weren't disturbed by any noise. Stable WiFi. Staff are friendly & helpful.

I stayed one night at Hotel Lutana. It was a little out of the town center, a 20 minute walk. I had my own room and my own bathroom with hot water and air conditioning. No breakfast, but they had coffee and biscuits. It was very clean and the woman at the front desk (Rita) was incredibly nice and helpful. It is small, but that adds to its charm.

The location is very strategic as it really near to many restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful. However, as I got the room at the ground floor near to the receptionist, they can be quite loud at certain period which is in the morning. I don't really mind it, but they may disturb the other customers. The shower was quite tall for someone around 150cm btw.
Overall, I do recommend this hotel.

LLimThe only reason I stayed here was because of it location near to the airport. Everything else is good in terms of experience except I was imposed with liability costing RM10 for soiling one piece of their towel. The soiling happened because I walked outside after the rain and my foot got into a mud spot. I came back to my room and I accidentally stepped on the towel. Bear in mind, I had to book their largest room meant for 4 pax because that was the only one available even though I stayed alone. Considering the occupancy is low for that large room, soiling one piece of towel does not justify a RM10 liability damage.

AAddy AzminNice and clean place to stay. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Spacious room. Near to a sundry shop and laundry shop. The hotel have cafe if you want to have breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can see mount Kinabalu from the hotel.

GGandingAmenities in the room, such as hair dryer, iron, ironing board, kettle, cups, 3 in 1 coffee, tea, drinking water, towels, conditioning shampoo, shower gel and prayer mat for Muslims are available. There is no dental care kit, so bring your own. Otherwise, you'll have to drive a bit to buy one.
It was my third time in Kundasang, so we rented a car and drove to the location. The road to the location is quite challenging if you're not used to the rural road. There are plenty of parking spaces there. I also saw guests with private tour guides who drove them around. I think that's a good idea, too.
I booked the room with the mountain view, but the weather was not on my side. The mountain was in view very early in the morning when it was still dark, and then it was covered in clouds for the rest of the day.
There is no aircon but a cute ceiling fan we didn't use because it was already cold. However, I wish I could open the windows without letting the bugs in. There were huge spiders making their webs near my window, and I dare not open it. The beds are okay - not the comfiest and only one rather flat pillow for our heads. We slept well nonetheless. We spent most of our time outside the room unless it's to shower or sleep.
There's a cafe where we took our dinner to the outside dining area. The tables and chairs were scattered around so we had to arrange them ourselves.
There is hot water, but at around 7am, the shower runs cold even with the water heater turned on. Could it be that everyone is showering at the same time?
A simple breakfast is served at the cafe for the guests. When I was there, they had fried mi hun, French toast, sausages, baked beans, and eggs. There were two types of cereal. A bread station where you can toast your bread. Only white bread was available. Drinks were orange cordial, coffee, and tea. They replenish the food if finished, so don't worry about getting to the breakfast a bit late.
The best thing about the whole trip was the booking, checking in, and checking out was hassle-free. Also, if you love flowers, walk around the place and admire their hydrangeas.

PPoole92It was located well next to the Orangutan sanctuary. Had a nice pool, with a scenic walk to get there.
The breakfast was really nice, and changed slightly each day. Rooms were cleaned daily. Our room didn't have AC, and the WiFi didn't. No free water is provided, and it's overpriced to buy. There is a very small shop that sells it cheaper close to the resort.

The place is located in the center with easy access to everything however it also means it can be quite loud at night from the traffic and karaoke next door. The room had little fridge, kettle, bottles of water and coffee mix (3 in 1).
Room was on the 3rd floor with no lift. This could be a problem for somebody with mobility issue.

PPilgrimaaa_The hotel room was clean. Amenities provided are shampoo and body soap. The location from the town area is quite central. It's easy to park a car, not a busy road. It's located at the back of Plaza Shell. A water dispenser is the only thing missing from the hotel, so next time when you want to stay, make sure to buy one drinking water for yourself. Anyway there are convenience stores nearby the hotel.

LLionKnightThis hotel is near the city centre, and you can easily walk to the Gaya Street and Suria Sabah Shopping centre. This mall has a fantastic lobby, you can feel comfortable to have a rest in the lobby with friends and relatives.
The surrounding hotels also have various restaurants that you can choose for lunch, dinner or even supper.
The hotel also can easily access the Imago mall by using the grab car service.
