I had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older ”colonial” part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over. The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was ”marginal” at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, ”on business” this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

I’m all for a colonial experience but not when it’s overpriced. El Beaterio is charming and feels authentic. Old wooden beams, clay tiled floors, wooden armoires, four poster beds which were surprisingly excellent. Even the bathroom was clean, had great water pressure & temperature. WiFi worked well enough. I suppose my issue with El Beaterio is how cold and unfriendly the service was all around. Reception was frosty and all business. They were quick to ask for a 50$ deposit even before they asked for my passport. And the front desk guy was also too quick to push for a tour HE was guiding the next day even if his English wasn’t particularly a strong point. Breakfast, while good and hearty, was again served with nonchalant silence. I suppose management doesn’t care much for attempts at warmth or sincerity —but what stings is the price. One would expect just a bit more from a property that charges 100$usd per night especially around Zona Colonial where there are plenty of choices. So go ahead and book if you’re in for the “colonial” experience. Just don’t expect old world charm or regular world friendliness or professionalism.

One of my favourite hotels in Santo Domingo. Perfect for location and if you don't want to spend 3 figures a night for a 5 star hotel. Renovated a few years ago, the rooms and decor are exceptional. The hallway can be noisy but that's due to the construction of the building as it does have some history. Breakfast is a combination of hot and cold and is served on the rooftop. Once again, staff are very helpful and attentive and I couldn't fault them for anything. Reception is always friendly and helpful. All rooms have a minibar and a safe but if the prices are a little steep then theres a National store in El Conde where you can buy all your needs at local prices. Your 5 minutes walk away from the centre of ”El Conde” or ”Zona Colonial” where there's quite a few US food chains such as Domino's and KFC as well as a lot of boutique shops where you can find something to your liking. Highly recommended 3/4* hotel with 5* service

Regular bien Bien pero algunas Habitaciones encontré cucarachas , Me cambié de Avitacion y ya era mejor, Volveré sin duda por el emplazamiento y el precio. Saludos

We stayed at this hotel for 19 days and we enjoyed every service we were offered .their breakfast has a lot of varieties and so delicious ..we felt home and were treated with respect .My wife loved their bed and pillows and my daughter enjoyed their swimming pool and restaurant services .We will be back soon for a lengthy stay

โรงแรมเล็ก ๆ แสนหวานริมเมืองเก่า ฉันชอบมันมาก ห้องพักแตกต่างกันมากในทําเล ฉันชอบห้อง 11 ที่มีต้นไม้หน้าบ้านในสวนสาธารณะ บางอย่างมืด แต่เงียบสงบและผ่อนคลาย ห้องอื่นๆอยู่ในสวนหลังบ้าน พนักงานพูดภาษาอังกฤษไม่ได้ แต่พวกเขาชอบดูรายการเรียลลิตี้โดมินิกันทั้งวันและไม่มีหูฟัง แต่โทรศัพท์ที่เงียบนี้ได้ยินทุกที่ในละตินอเมริกา ฉันหวังว่าโรคนี้จะจบลงเร็ว ๆ นี้

นอกจากทําเลที่ตั้งของโรงแรมและพื้นที่ส่วนกลางที่ค่อนข้างโดดเด่นแล้ว ไม่มีอะไรจะแนะนํามากนัก โดยเฉพาะสิ่งอํานวยความสะดวกในห้องค่อนข้างล้าสมัย - และแม้ในสภาพทรุดโทรม

Very friend and professional staff ready to provide for your every need. English is spoken which is a plus for non Spanish speakers. Great Team!

They need to clean the room every day, they don´t do it the bathroom was dirty the breakfast is ok I will try not to go back to this hotel
