I chose this place because of the many positive reviews I found online, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The property is located in a quiet and peaceful area. What you rent is not just a room but an entire three-bedroom house, which gives you plenty of space and privacy. There is also a parking spot right in front of the house, which was very convenient for us. Upon arrival, the housekeeper noticed that we were looking for the property and kindly directed us to the reception area. Without her help, we might have spent much longer trying to find it, so I would like to thank her for that. The owners are an elderly couple, and we had the chance to chat with them briefly. They were very welcoming and friendly. Afterward, the housekeeper showed us around the house. The house itself is quite spacious. The rooms are large, and the beds were comfortable. Since there were only two of us, the house was actually much bigger than we needed, but that's just how our booking worked out. For larger families or guests traveling with children, however, I think it would be an excellent choice. We parked our car directly in front of the house. The house was pleasantly warm in the evening—actually a bit warmer than what I'm used to—but overall it was very comfortable. The property is not brand new, but it appears to be well maintained. Everything was clean, tidy, and in good condition. The price was also reasonable for what was offered. The location may feel a little far from the city center, and finding it could be more challenging if you're relying on taxis or public transportation. However, if you have a car, this is not an issue at all. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this place to others. Wishing everyone safe travels and enjoyable trips!

The hotel is beautiful. Amazing room and no hassle with check-in and check-out. The room I initially had was on a lower floor and unfortunately I could hear the person above me walking and that was disturbing. The hotel wasted no minutes to move me to an upper room when I reached out to them, so 10/10. The bath, room and bedding were amazing. Few issues: 1)There is not enough lighting in the room, and at night, it’s difficult if you need to do something and require lights. There are only nightstands, no main light. The windows are small. See picture. 2) For the price I paid, I was expecting a decent breakfast. The breakfast provided was insulting. Cold croissants, chocolate blueberry and lemon muffins, instant oat, hot water, coffee and juice, banana, apple. For the price you pay per night, you will at least expect some hot food. Even one to two-stars motels in Canada provide toast, butter, and eggs. There was not even toast, or milk! You need to use numerous small milk pods to make your oats or coffee, which is a plastic waste. That was disappointing and I understand the hotel wants to save expenses and be more profitable, but I guess it’s business. 3) There is no gym, not even a treadmill. 4) The escalator does not go to the fourth floor, but no big deal. In saying so, the hotel is located in downtown, where all food places and bars are, so location wise it’s a win. If you do not have to stay in downtown, and want a hotel with amenities, there are better options in St John’s. One recommendation would be I H G ones.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I requested extra towels at the front desk and they were super quick with delivering them to my room. It was great having Denny’s and Moxies in the hotel. Very convenient and the staff at both restaurants were amazing. The only downside to this hotel was the pool/hot tub area. It’s extremely tiny, there’s no where to sit or place your things as it’s literally a room with a small pool and hot tub side by side and maybe 3ft of walkway around them. It’s kind of alarming when you walk in because you’re greeted with a face full of steam and you’re right on top of the hot tub. The smell of Chlorine is so strong that it starts to burn your eyes. The area isn’t monitored much either so if you decide to use it, bring a towel as the rack will most likely be empty. Overall we had a good stay and enjoyed it. However, next time I’m looking for a hotel in St. John’s I’ll spend the little extra to stay at a hotel with a better pool area. I’m usually traveling with little guys so amenities are key for us. This place is great for anyone who doesn’t care to use a pool.

Beautiful view.all facilities are clean especially the restaurant area the server was indeed a good employee.he was so approachable and could handle lots of guests very well. The front office person as well is accommodating and friendly

For the money, there should be a lot more. The front desk check in was friendly but not informative at all. It was just take your key and off you go. I had to go back 3 times to get more information about wifi PW etc. For a lodge next to the hill, there is little to do. They should be providing opportunities to rent a bike or go for more than a 10min hike to a waterfall. Pretty and all, but virtually nothing to do there. So don't expect it. There was a water boiling advisory and I asked about water and the front desk said there was water bottles in the room, but there wasn't, so I had to go back to the fron desk and bring them back myself. Kinda annoying.

As there are not many hotel choices in Stephenville, this hotel was a nice surprise since they don’t have much competition. It was as expected from the Days Inn chain, nice big room and clean and the aircon worked smoothly. The only issue was that the water pressure was quite low and the hot water took forever to come. The price point is quite high for this type of hotel but as I stated before, there are not many options and there is no competition. Also breakfast was not included in the price. I would stay at this hotel again but not at this price point

So now it's becoming common practice to clean the rooms every second day? Not too long ago that was optional. So what happens when you only get two cups of coffee for your 3-day rental? I get frustrated that I have to participate more in a business to help them run and accept less service. Sorry that I'm venting but I just don't feel it's adequate. This is a Marriott Hotel, once upon a time that was something I felt was prestigious. I would recommend booking your Marriott on your bon voy account.

Great location downtown, staff were pleasant. They gave us a room on a higher floor (before we knew that there may have been an issue) to avoid an obstruction of the harbour view. Felt comfortable and secure at this facility. There is a restaurant on site (not included). I would only suggest possible water and/or hot beverages available to guests (like most hotels) in the common / reception area. Will certainly consider this property for future trips to this area.

Great place to stay. The room was very clean and beds comfortable. One bed did squeak quite a bit when you had to roll over but was still comfortable. There was no AC so if you're traveling in the heat of summer it could be an issue. A fan in the room would have been nice although we didn't think to ask for one before we went to bed. We ordered pizza for supper and it was fantastic. The sevice was excellent as well.
