I recently stayed at the Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel and Spa in Matera, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooms are carved out of historic caves, offering a unique and enchanting atmosphere that blends modern luxury with ancient charm. The location is perfect, nestled within the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site, providing easy access to the city’s main attractions. The hotel’s amenities are top-notch. I particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which include a sauna, hammam, and a heated indoor pool. The staff were incredibly professional and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, adding to the overall comfort of my stay. One minor downside was the cost of some extras, which felt a bit high. Additionally, while the cave-themed rooms are stunning, they might not be for everyone due to the unique layout and lighting. Despite these small issues, the overall experience was exceptional, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and unique stay in Matera.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. We specifically came to Mateta for one night from the Salerno area to enjoy the spa and dinner. As always it did not disappoint! The junior suite room was spectacular. The spa was amazing. The a massages were amazing. The restaurant they recommended for dinner was delicious. The staff is great. Left looking forward to our next trip back! See you soon Gattini!

Great hotel, the staff were absolutely fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and genuinely happy to help and make you feel a valued guest, absolutely credit to the hotel. Fantastic location, spotlessly clean and good value- would highly recommend.

Posto molto bello. Servizio cordialissimo, tutto: dal ristorante, alla reception, al servizio piscina, alle signore delle pulizie. Durante il ns soggiorno la spa non era fruibile per manutenzione, ma siamo stati comodamente in piscina. Colazione molto buona, con molta scelta di dolce. Pecca della struttura ?! Il bagno! Totalmente trasparente e aperto da sopra, quindi privacy 0. Anche se si è in coppia, è molto scomoda questa cosa.
