This hostel has some genuinely strong points, but also several issues that stop it from being a great stay. It’s very much a mix of highs and lows. The positives: The common room is comfortable, with very good sofas and fast Wi-Fi (though it occasionally drops out — a router upgrade would easily fix this). There’s a shared kitchen with a labelled fridge, and the location is excellent for exploring Nagasaki. Dorm rooms are good value for the price. Bed spaces are a decent size, with excellent blackout curtains that block light even if others leave the lights on. You also get a small lockbox for valuables. The negatives: Check-in is fully self-service with no reception. You’re given a folder with rules and keys, but if you need help, there’s no clear support — which can be stressful, especially for travellers without phone SIMs. There is no lift. I stayed on the fourth floor, and the narrow stairs make carrying luggage difficult. Facilities per floor are also limited: only one toilet and one shower shared between multiple dorms, plus the washer and dryer on the same floor, which feels insufficient and awkward. Extras are all paid separately (towels, toothbrushes, earplugs, etc.). A towel really should be included at this price. Guests are also expected to ***** their own bedsheets at checkout, which feels excessive. The common room layout could be improved. A large hammock takes up space and reduces seating — replacing it with chairs or bar seating would make the area far more usable. There were also staff or long-term workers frequently occupying the common room, which made the space feel less guest-focused. Air conditioning is locked and cannot be adjusted, so if you’re too hot or cold, you have no control. Would I stay again? As a backpacker on a very tight budget, yes — tahe location and price make it workable. But if you can afford it, I’d recommend paying more for a private room nearby. There are many hotels in the area offering much better comfort and support.

It was a truly wonderful experience, touring the island on a motorbike which I rented from the hostel. Especially, driving on the North-Western peninsula became an unforgettable memory. Toured around several Catholic churches, watched the sunset over the sea, and drove to the tip of the peninsula. There were few cars on the road, so the journey to the torch felt as if I had the entire road to myself. It was absolutely special. I will definitely come back here someday in the future! The owner is such a kind and helpful person. The hostel is simple, yet it's more than enough for a budget trip for one night. Das Hostel war super! Der Sozialbereich macht Kontakt zu anderen einfach und es gibt eine Küche zum Kochen. Auch das Bett ist super zweckmäßig und sehr großzügig mit Platz für das Gepäck, Schließfach und Hänge/Verstaumöglichkeiten. Bad Bereich sehr ordentlich und sauber, bis auf Schimmelflecken am Waschbecken. Lage in Chinatown und nah zum Hafen. Ich würde dem Hostel gern eine Top Bewertung geben. Jedoch roch es im Zimmer so stark nach Schimmel, dass es fast eine Zumutung war. Aus der Not heraus habe ich das Fenster geöffnet, um zu lüften und es wurde immer wieder zu gemacht. Daher kann ich das Hostel zwar empfehlen, aber keine Übernachtung im Frauendorm (201).

โรงแรมสะอาดและได้รับการปรับปรุงใหม่ ดีมาก ๆ เลยค่ะ มีเครื่องซักผ้าและเครื่องอบผ้าในห้อง (อย่าลืมนำผงซักฟอกมาเองนะคะ) ห้องน้ำมีอ่างอาบน้ำ ห้องอาบน้ำรวมแยกชายหญิง มีโต๊ะปิงปองพร้อมไม้และลูกปิงปองให้บริการที่เลานจ์สำหรับแขก ที่จอดรถอยู่หน้าโรงแรมเลยค่ะ วิวสวยมาก ชายหาดอยู่ห่างออกไปประมาณ 10 นาที และมีร้าน 7-11 อยู่หน้าโรงแรม จะกลับมาพักอีกแน่นอนค่ะ อาหารเช้าแบบเบนโตะอร่อยและมีให้เลือกมากมายค่ะ

The hotel is located not very far from Nagasaki station. I was a bit late for the check-in time but I managed to inform them on the phone in advance and the staff was waiting for me. I really love the vibe of the hotel and the cabin was comfy to sleep. Their breakfast was the best!

My husband and I stayed at this inn with our friends. It was very clean and beautiful. The beds were comfortable and we had a nice view of the beach from our room! The beach is within walking distance from the inn and I enjoyed going to the hot spring at the inn afterwards. The staff was also very welcoming and helpful.
