Was offered and took the upsell to one tier above what I paid for. Overall stay was pleasant with good service, though the breakfast buffet felt it could have sourced better fresh produce suppliers in some parts like vegetables, dairy, and carbs. The pastry section was really good and the coffee was also good. Last but not least, the swimming pool had a couple of caterpillars near the greens and makeshift waterfall feature. Those suprised the kids a bit, but they didn't scare them much, still had fun.

I originally booked one of the renovated rooms and there is a bit of fiasco in the first day when I came back to the room it just reeked of raw sewage, almost like a pipe it exploded, and I immediately called housekeeping who sprayed but said that they would move me to a different suite which is the one in the photos. This is one of the more expensive suites and it’s basic and similar in comparison to the renovated suite. However, renovated suite looks like it was renovated back in 1990s as the other suite was much nicer and more modern Overall, the service was fantastic. The food in the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice. I’ll be at a little quiet and overall it’s a great location if you wanna go out to different sites or if you just wanna cruise the mall or do some quick shopping 

Hotel look ok but some wallpaper in the room already old and broken, should repair soon, ac ok cold enough, some instruction for shower not so clear, breakfast standart, parking basement

I had an incredible experience at Bumi Surabaya City Resort, and I can't recommend this hotel enough! Nestled in a lush garden setting right in the heart of Surabaya,excellent service, and beautiful surroundings. The spacious rooms offered stunning views of the city, providing a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. I particularly enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet, featuring a delightful selection of both local and international dishes, all freshly prepared and delicious. Moreover, the hotel's facilities had a lovely swimming pool surrounded by greenery, two tennis courts, spa and massage ,perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the staff. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and eager to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed, making it an ideal spot for both business and leisure travelers. It’s my second stay at Bumi Surabaya and I look forward to returning in the future. If you're looking for a blend of comfort and charm in Surabaya, this is the place to be!

Lavish and beautifully decorated hotel with staff that provide a level of service that you will not get at any other hotel. Rooms are spacious and the gym is well equipped. Excellent choice of restaurants with the dinner buffet having a wide selection of flavoursome dishes from around the world.
