"Hotel Tier is conveniently located near Metaxourghio metro station, just a mere 3 min walk from hotel. From this station, 3 stops to Syntagma which is the city centre.
There are bistros and cafes nearby. We arrived at 1130am and because the room was already cleaned staff checked us in immediately without having to wait till 3 pm. Thank you for that.
Room is very small even though the beds can fit 3 pax with one queen and one single bed. Hardly space to open your luggage. Bathroom is clean but small.
The lift is really tiny that can only fit 1 person with luggage. Staff is very kind, helpful and friendly.
Overall still a comfortable stay for just one night."

KKDTINOThe Attalos Hotel is good with everything you need, reception is right at the front door with very helpful and friendly staff, the lifts are small, so only one person and your luggage at a time, but that’s ok. It has the most amazing rooftop with Athens’ best kept secret bar and view of the acropolis that you won’t ever forget. Rooms are good, (we stayed in 507 & 506), not too big, however Athens is old so it’s ok for what you need and I am picky. The bed is comfortable, the linen is clean and fresh towels, the bathroom is small but water is hot and water pressure perfect. Great location, just off a small street and so close to Monastiraki Square in Athens which is less than 100 meters away. Close to a supermarket, cafe’s everywhere (you have to get yourself a real Greek coffee- now that’s a caffeine hit you will need after travelling 😉) and there is amazing authentic Greek Food all around. I recommend Nikos Tavern just pass the church in the square and left up the alley. It one of the oldest, and I was there 32 years ago. You will see all the tables and chairs!! Attalos is walking distance to all the sights you need to see, like the acropolis and museums and train station are right nearby. I will definitely stay here again ever time I visit Athens on my way to the Peloponnese. What a great memory, Thanks guys!!

SSharon AmandaWe loved this hotel! We booked it based on good price, nice photos/reviews and close proximity to vegan restaurants. My only slight concern was that some reviews described the location as a little seedy/dangerous. We did not find this to be the case at all. We loved the location, away from the tourist 'centre', but still easily accessible by metro in about 10 minutes. In fact, from this area it seemed really easy to travel to many different parts of Athens, and the metro station itself was a 10-minute walk away. There is a large, lovely park 5 minutes across the road, where lots of people & families were hanging out during the long, summer evenings. Yes, there are some run-down buildings and graffiti in the area, but that seems to be all over Athens, and it did not feel aggressive or threatening. The hotel itself was lovely. The photos are very accurate. Our room was soooo comfortable, a great size, with good storage (wardrobe), comfy bed/pillows, a nice shower and a small fridge, kettle and coffee pod machine. Down in the basement is a communal space with a pool table, small kitchen for preparing food, and space to chill out or watch movies. You can also get fresh, drinkable water here, There is a small terrace on the top floor, with a bit of a view and some friendly pigeons. The staff at reception were so lovely - friendly & helpful, great English speakers too. The only thing I would mention is that our room was at the front of the building, on the 1st floor, and you could easily the hear the traffic on the main road (which is around the corner - the hotel itself is on a side street). We were also treated to some early-morning trumpet practice from someone in an apartment opposite (and he definitely needs the practice!) So if you are sensitive to noise or a light sleeper, you should ask for a room at the back. But, that aside, it was a great hotel which I highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at Philippos Hotel! The location is unbeatable—literally steps away from the Acropolis Museum and the metro station. For anyone interested in tours, there is an 'Athenian Tours' office right across the street, which is very convenient and enjoy the Acropolis view from the rooftop.
The Standout Service:
The staff truly made my trip special. The male receptionist who welcomed me was incredibly nice and accommodating. Not only did he help me carry my heavy luggage upstairs, but he also spent time explaining the room, the Acropolis area, and suggesting great places to visit. On a day when I arrived and it was raining, he even thoughtfully offered me an umbrella. Another nice touch was the complimentary coffee served from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Even when the hotel was busy, everything felt very organized and clean.
The Room & Breakfast:
My room smelled wonderful, and the queen-sized bed was very comfortable. The washroom was clean and equipped with a hairdryer and toiletries. Breakfast was another highlight—it was very full and packed with a great assortment of breads, salads, sweets, juices, and coffee.
Things to Consider:
Stairs: The staircase is not very suitable for people with large luggage or mobility issues. While I was helped at check-in, the receptionist wasn't available when I was leaving, so I had to carry my heavy bags down the stairs by myself.
Amenities: Note that while they provide basic toiletries, there were no toothbrushes or slippers, so you should pack your own.
Smoking: For those who smoke, it is permitted outside the hotel and on the rooftop.
Overall, a solid 4-star experience thanks to the wonderful staff and perfect location!”

ผผู้เข้าพักI went on a trip with my kids, and the location is fantastic. The room with the Acropolis window all the time is excellent. I had a great experience in breakfast because I could see a beautiful view of the Acropolis. I woke up so late one day that I almost missed the tour bus, but I was really glad that the staff at the front of the hotel took care of it and showed me how to get on the bus. I would like to thank her very much, and I would like to compliment and publicize the kindness of the staff. This hotel was the flower of my trip to Athens.

ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel is at the walking distance from all important stations. 20 mins from Monastiraki and 10 mins from Omonia. We can get a direct train from Monastiraki to Athens airport so that's also good. Regarding the amenities, the hotel provided mineral water free of cost as well as breakfast is unlimited and superb 10/10 from my side. Highly recommended!
