We had a lovely stay at this hotel in Lisbon. Everything was great, and the overall experience was very comfortable and enjoyable. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking a large park right in front, which made our stay even more special. The bed was very big and extremely comfortable – we absolutely loved it! The atmosphere of the hotel was warm and relaxing, and we truly enjoyed our time here. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great for an overnight stay for an early flight the next day. Far from any main attractions. Friendly staff at front desk. Room is small and there is no ventilation in the bathroom. Hotel has automatic air fresheners everywhere and the scent is overwhelming. Skin is itchy upon waking The pluses … 1. Airport shuttle runs every 15mins for 24 hours from hotel to airport. 2. The breakfast buffet opens from 2am although the hot food sections only starts at 5am. 3. There is a Delta coffee machine in the room. Bring your own toothbrush or buy from the vending machinery in the lobby. No other amenities other than the bottled hand wash at the sink & hair and body wash in the shower.

On a busy street, it’s not very quiet, but you can wear earplugs. Your experience depends on the other travelers, of course, if they are considerate. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The reason I like this place is because it has a lot of character. It’s a turn-of-the-last century, 1890s palace, with very fancy ceilings, parquet wooden floors, and a marble floor lobby. It’s a real palace, one of many in Portugal! In 1914 it was rented to the Swiss Ambassador of Portugal. Although the place is quite dated now, it still has a lot of class. If you have a little more money, you can rent a small suite, higher up and quieter, also with credit card points (free or almost ). Unfortunately the internet only works in the lobby if you have a mobile phone. It seems to work fine for iPads and computers, strangely enough. It has a kitchen and washer / dryer. The fridge is old-style retro, as well as the deco in the whole hotel / hostel. (small fridge, but it does have a small freezer, too.) The place has a restaurant, which is popular. If you eat a large breakfast you can include it with your rent, it costs about 9€ (I don’t , so the kitchen was fine – modern electric stove top, microwave – no oven!) The top bunk of a three-tiered system is fairly safe, as it has steps, instead of ladder rungs. It has wooden lockers (bring your own lock) and small boxes, hidden in the stairs at every bed level. Not for the faint of heart or those afraid of heights… or those who can’t do stairs. Two flights of stairs up! Shared rooms on first and second floors, kitchen is on the first. No elevator to the shared rooms, unlike the suites.

First of all, one of the staff members was friendly and kind. She gave me clear instructions and showed me around the facility. I could drop off my luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which was helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The only problem was the number of bathrooms. There are only a few bathrooms on the floor. Each one includes a toilet, sink, and shower, but it’s only for one person. It was always occupied, which was really inconvenient. Unfortunately, a large group of students stayed on the same floor during my stay for a school event or something. They had been using all the bathrooms for a long time. As a result, I had to wait for around 2 hours even though I wanted to go to sleep early. But to sum up, it was a good stay, considering the price.

The rooms have bad smell. Some staff at the reception desk not so polite. Do not greet customers when they arrive. No water for customers when they arrive at the room. Need to improve more.
