ผผู้เข้าพักThe hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish.
Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner.
However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top.
In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

SSavvytanIt’s our first time and definitely not the last. Everything was great from the buggy in, to the size of the very clean room, to the baby cot that was already provided in the room and room service.
Only thing I’d suggest for improvement is the massage place is too near the restaurant and live bar. There was loud music when we went for our spa retreat and the music dampened the quietness and chill mood we wanted for the spa and massage. I would suggest to move it further away or install sound proofing walls for the tent.
Other than that, quite a perfect stay. We didn’t have enough time to explore the activities centre as it was for kids aged 3 and above.
One last thing, everything is chargeable for rent which I feel certain things could have been provided for less cost or free. Like bicycles to get around the very large lagoon or kick scooters. Their 2/3 wheelers were fully rented out and not cheap to rent too.

JJason2023Absolutely incredible hotel experience! Stunning room with balcony overlooking the Singapore Strait. Several activities you can do, from eco golf to fishing and a movie night projected on to the side of the ship. The tour was excellent and all of the staff were great. I hired a motorbike through reception so I could explore the island - all organised very well, although 3x more expensive than say Thailand, Vietnam etc. The restaurant has a limited menu unless you are happy with local, mainly seafood dishes with a couple of western options and pizza. The drinks are expensive already, then they add 21% service and tax, again, significantly higher than what you would pay in similar SE Asian countries but I heard typical for Bintan. Buy your drinks from the convenience store in the ferry terminal - 4x cheaper than the hotel bar restaurant. They did say however that their profits are given to charity. Overall, I had an incredible stay here, excellent value, excellent location if you want to chill or explore the island (not suitable for walking) or just relaxing by the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Highly recommended, will 100% return and no need to look at any other hotel on Bintan!

Mm&m&mThe villa (especially the bathroom!!) was clean and above our expectation! Everything was working fine, and we were very well covered throughout the trip! We communicated with the very friendly and helpful staff through their WhatsApp to request for buggy ride, extra towel, housekeeping, whatever you want, and they responded very fast.
Legenda Cafe provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had our breakfast there, and for weekdays breakfast, they do semi buffet where there is a small spread of food, and you can also order dishes from the menu. On weekends, they do full buffet breakfast. Food is good, mostly local food which is awesome.
We did not see any minimarts within the resort, but the resort does provide transport to travel around Bintan. For instance, RP100k for two-way transport to Lagoi Bay.
Private beach is only a few steps away from the cafe, and also walkable from our villa. Sand is super clean and very well maintained!
Just note that since we are in nature, there are bound to be bugs / insects, so bring mosquito patches / sprays.
We will definitely come back here again next time with family!!

ผผู้เข้าพักIt was a great stay for us. Sea view chalet is nice and comfortable for me and my husband. Unobstructed view for the sea is my favourite. Room service was good and staffs were friendly and always greet us with smiling face. We stayed for 3 nights and we ate our meals at the resort’s restaurants. Breakfast was included in our booking and food served at the breakfast was good but nothing special to mention. We had our lunch and dinner at the Spice and the Kelong seafood restaurant. I will say the food varieties is limited and pricey. I will say it is more expensive than Singapore (one of the most expensive city in asia). For two person we spent about 70$-170$ per meal… appitizer, one main dish and one cheapest drink. When we had seafood dish, it cost more, of course, about $170. Overalls, it was a good experience. Nice stay except the pricey food. Taste of the food are just fine. We stayed 3 nights, so it made us more difficult to choose what to eat when you have not much to choose and it is not exciting and you are at the resort… so you can’t go out and buy more affordable food outside. If the resort can have more Chinese cuisine will be good. So, if you are staying for relaxation then it is good. If you are foodie,,, this place is not for you.

PPratibha AshwinWe stayed with our family at the Kawaland glamping resort for 3D,2N. We had a very nice experience. The staff were sincere, hard working, friendly and courteous with all our needs. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and explained to us about the Indonesian cuisine. All the food that we tried at the restaurant was good! The glamping rooms were comfortable with spacious bedroom and bathrooms. The beach was only a walking distance from the resort & it was clean and beautiful. They also had swimming pools. We also had a good experience using the BBQ pit with the help of staff. We were also able to try the movie night with the projector at the beach bar. One area that could be improved is: During warm weather, the roof panels and the room interior gets quite hot. The AC alone was not sufficient. So it may need some other solution as well to keep the room comfortable. Otherwise, we had a chill, happy vacation at the resort! Would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Wwondrous lifeThis resort offers a truly unique and serene experience, tucked away in a secluded part of Bintan. It's perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. As it’s located in a rather remote area, there isn’t much in the immediate surroundings, and activities are quite limited unless you're willing to travel out to the main city, which is about an hour’s drive away. However, the villa itself more than makes up for it — beautifully designed, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully maintained. What really stands out is the level of service from the staff. They are prompt, attentive, and very responsive, especially when it comes to communication through messaging apps.
