This was my first trip to Surabaya and I had decided book Four Points Sheraton Tunjungan given its central location and competitive room rate. I was pleasantly surprised when the hotel recognized my Marriott Bonvoy member status and accorded me the corresponding benefits despite me not making this reservation via the Marriott Bonvoy app. Kudos the hotel staff for that!
The reception told me the hotel is open in 2015 but when I enter the lobby it look quite new the view is quite good from 27flr also the bed is comfortable the AC gets cold and can't be adjust manually so if you want colder you need to wait the shower is typical
Very nice, modern hotel. Close to many restaurants. Breakfast in nice place, very tasty. Helpful staff! The only but is concerning the cleaning - in general there was no dirt, cleaning was working, but on sheets and towels there were stains, even when we got new and fresh ones.
Appalled by the room cleanliness. Able to spot long hairs on my bedside carpet on the first day and still not vacuumed even on the day I left. Toilet walls had some mould growing (I rubbed against it and it came off). Room is spacious and aircon is strong.
Breakfast had a ok variety but what's annoying is the used napkins on our tables being served as new ones. We went during a busy period but it's not excusable.
Sufficient gym facilities for basis free weights and polite staff. Can do better on maintenance.
There are restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. There is also a Family Mart that you can easily get food and other bites. Breakfast is good.

from the main lobby to the toilets, from the rooms to the animal pens - all super clean, a massive respite from mosquito-infested accomodations the few days prior.
the receptionists were all very friendly, well-versed in both bahasa indo and english; the driver kindly helped us find somewhere to buy feed for the animals and take photos at the entrance; the concierge was also very pro-active and the cleaners were constantly seen mopping.
and the facilities are undoubtedly one of a kind. the view from the balcony were of the animals happily skipping around, not like some other safari accommodations where the animals are either kept in too small fences or too far away. every store was well stocked with water dispensers of different temperatures. the animal feeding was also easy to purchase from the counter. only pity is that we were not aware that the breakfast with giraffe needed booking beforehand, but honestly you can feed the giraffes for cheaper at the Taman Safari Prigen safari adventure. breakfast for humans otherwise had a good spread, including some humorously named items. there is also a free and convenient shuttle service that takes you to and from baobab to the safari area, just have to ask the concierge.
overall 10/10 will visit again.

CCiauciauHotel’s ambience is relaxing. Ocean is at the hotel’s backyard with huge greeneries, coconut trees, and simply beautiful.
Breakfast spread is not bad, the taste is so so. Swimming pool is infinity style and quite big. There is also gym in the hotel.
Room is small, bed is only 100 x 200 for twin. Separate toilet and shower room which size is in the smallish end. Balcony is quite big so you could sit down and enjoy reading. If you want to go with family, book enough room as there is no extra bed except in suites (sofa bed style).
As it is near the ocean, it could be windy.
You need car/transport to go around as it is not exactly in the city centre.
Good place to relax if you happen to be in East Java.
NNorhaslindaThe staff were very polite and eager to offer assistance. Location of hotel was near to restaurants. Breakfast was very delicious and the variety of food was excellent. Staff was kind to pack for us breakfast on our 1st day as we need to leave early for the Bromo sunrise tour. Will definitely recommend this hotel for their excellent service.
SSeptitaStaying at Illira was one of the best experience. The staffs was incredibly kind and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast menu was vary and the taste is quite good. But at the top of all that was the hotel view, it was Bali straits and mount Ijen, incredible😍😍 thank you Illira

Only problem during my stay 4 night it sound from motobike scramble noisy continuously heard till all night till early morning at the hotel front side facing middle circle main road with traffic light
And room facing back also have sound problem.this music sound beat constantly all night long start 11 onward ill till morning 4.30 am .until you can hear it and follow the music all night till morning .frankly honestly during our stay we cannot sleep well because disturbing by the sound problem.
The hotel not fault only the surroundings noise make it a barely at night during sleeping.
My suggestion the owner this hotel need take drastically measures to upgrade the all windows to fixed panel glass sound proof
.I pity to staffs always try apologies for inconvenience when we tell them the problem matter i know they cannot solve the problem beyond they control.
Only the owner hotel need try sleep at hotel both side room front and back and see your self

Checking-in was a breeze, but they do not bother helping with moving luggages. The doorman would just look at you.
The room was big. The corridor isn’t carpeted, so you can hear doors slamming and people talking outside your room rather clearly. They do have comfortable bed and pillows though.
There was no safety deposit box in my room. Called housekeeping, and a chap brought in the metal box... while hugging it. The box was light. He just placed it on a shelf, and walked away. I mean, what's the use of having a light, moveable safe? It's okay. 3 stars hotel experience.
Was told that the hotel doesn’t provide iron and ironing board and guests can use their ironing service for a fee of course instead. Reminds me of some budget hotel stay instead of any other normal 4 stars hotels.
The cleanliness was abysmal, honestly showering in public would be a better choice. I could not walk around inside there barefooted. The shower floor was slimy, with mould growing on the walls. It was unacceptable for being rated as a 4 star hotel.
Service was good though. Everyone seems eager to please. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent as it's connected to a mall.
Amenities wise just needs more sprucing up. Alright stay but for the price, there are other alternatives that can provide better.
