There were several items which I was unhappy about and had I been informed of them prior to booking I would have stayed somewhere else. On checking in were asked to supply our credit card for a 200 euro hold to be placed on it! I find the requirement completely outrageous in that you seem to assume that I'm going to cause some damage to your hotel and want to be covered in the event. That is totally unacceptable in the case of two 70 year olds staying for one night. Had we been a party of young lads on a stag night out you could understand it. Sorry bud......not on. It was late when we arrived and were very pleased that there was a restaurant on the premises to revive ourselves. The menu was very narrow as was the wine list and the food wasn't very appetising. I wouldn't eat there again. We visited the roof top bar which was deader than a funeral home and so we took ourselves back to the main bar for the rest of the evening. The lift has confusing information . On the outside it lists the floors as 1, 2, Reception. When you get into the lift it has buttons for 1, 2, 0+ and 0-. Not a word about reception and of course we went to wrong floor for reception. A small thing but annoying and easily fixed. There was no stairs from our room to the reception that we could find either. I'm fairly sure that a stairs is a legal requirement in the event of a fire but I couldn't find one. And I looked twice! On the positive side, when we left the next morning, a really nice chap checked us out and when I got into my car I discovered that the lens from one of my glasses had popped out . I went back into the hotel and the hotel porter who had just checked me out could not have been more helpful. We found the lens beside the bed and made the repairs. Your man is wasted in the hotel porter role. You should give him the top job in my opinion. I won't be rushing back.

โรงแรมเป็นอาคารเก่าที่ดูคลาสสิกมาก แต่ดูเหมือนว่าทาสีใหม่หรือพื้นด้วยกระดาน รสชาติใหญ่มาก เนื่องจากฉันกลับไปทานอาหารเย็นตอนดึก ฉันจึงพบว่ารสชาติก็เที่ยงคืนแล้ว ฉันขอโทษที่รบกวน ฉันนั่งบนหน้าต่างเป็นเวลาหนึ่งคืนและฉันก็ทําอะไรไม่ถูก

Tres bon hotel tres proche du chateau Bon pour une escapade le week end Bemol les restos sont pas énormes à mon avis Et leur resto était plein donc pensez à réserver surtout le week-end On a trouvé qu’une seule serviette pour la douche et la piscine donc j’ai du insister pour avoir une deuxième. La réceptionniste a accepté de nous en donner. La piscine devient pleine pendant les heures où c’est accessible mais c’est très bien, propre et moderne

A very pleasant surprise. The location is next to Chartres station for quick access to the trains (but it is not noisy). The town is also compact, so walking to the main attractions such as the Chartres cathedral is only 5-10 minutes away, and there are restaurants and cafes nearby. The room was clean, and well-furnished. In my room, there was a small kitchenette for self-catering. Hair dryer was also provided in the room. There were two staff members (one in the morning and afternoon), who spoke excellent English and were very friendly and accommodating. Their attitude was no different than that of the staff members of a 5-star hotel.

The food was very over-priced and of poor quality. The room was way too hot and paying so much for a 4-star hotel room, having paper cups is not acceptable. The exterior of the hotel looks very shabby, the lack of a sensible location as it is very difficult to navigate to just added to the gaggravation. The staff were pleasant and some helpful but it is all over-priced for what you got. The eV chargepoints in the piravte car park were a welcome addition for an eV driver but the first one I tried didn't work so I missed the opportunity to get a full charge during dinner which gave me a lot of issues the next day.

I recently stayed at the Hôtel de Bourbon (the Mercure one) in Bourges, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a little piece of history while still having all the modern comforts you could want. My room was a classic double, spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed was excellent—properly supportive after a day of wandering around—and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower with good water pressure. Everything felt freshly renovated (they did a big update around 2018), with a nice blend of modern touches and the old abbey character. Some rooms overlook the park, which must be lovely in summer.

The hotel looks brand new, is really well kept, well clean and the service and the staff are very professional and friendly. The location of the hotel is great, right in the center of Amboise, and the parking is very convenient. Also the breakfast is great. The room was really good, great large comfortable bed. The only odd thing was that the hotel blocked 200 euros as a deposit in my credit card, as if I was renting a car, never saw this before in my multiple years of travelling.

The perfect hotel for visiting different chateaux close to Tours. If you have lots of train travel like we did, stay here. Spacious room, very funky design —our room had a private “cinema” in the room, fabulous breakfast and very friendly staff. The only addition that we would have liked is a kettle in the room and perhaps a bit more amenities like conditioner and cotton buds etc. All in all, a great stay!

Het hotel zag er aan de buitenkant niet echt aantrekkelijk uit, maar bij binnenkomst rook het heel aangenaam en zag het er heel schoon uit. De receptioniste ontving ons heel vriendelijk en legde alles heel duidelijk uit. Onze kamer zat op de 3e verdieping en onderweg er naar toe, waren we blij verrast, alles zag er schoon en onderhouden uit. De kamer was ook mooi en ruim ingericht met ligbad en douche in de badkamer en ook heel schoon. Het matras lag lekker en we hebben dan ook heerlijk geslapen. Een echte aanrader!
