The hotel was nice even though the bathroom, which was wet room style, was not really to my taste. Location was good within a shortish walk from the town centre. The bed let the room down as was far too firm for my liking. We were also disappointed that the window could not be opened The breakfast was ok but a little disappointed that fried eggs could not be available. But all in all, not a bad choice for an overnight stay

The building is old and has beautiful quirks. Bear in mind that due to the age of the building, you will hear a lot of floorboards creaking and noise from other rooms. My room had a bath and was very spacious. It was a shame no fridges, but the biggest problems for my stay was no WiFi as I was working for 4 days. The issue was 'managed' very badly by the manager and some reception staff. The problem started on day 1 and had a big impact on the enjoyment of my stay. I discussed it with the top manager on leaving and it was managed very well. I am just sad it wasn't resolved properly sooner and very disappointed with the staff. If you need WiFi I would check with the hotel in advance.

Location and view are fantastic, facilities are good, there's no denying it's an old hotel and that comes with some quirks and even a few areas that are a bit rough round the edges but it's not advertised as the 5 star hotel it once was. So as a 4 star I'd recommend it to anyone, the staff and cleanliness of room couldn't be faulted!! My only real gripe / area that needs some more immediate attention is please get an EV charger or two!

Stayed here many times before. Very different experience at check-in compared to last time. We waited too long, were ignored and eventually checked in by someone who was unhelpful. Room clean and tidy. TV not in great location, shower changed in temperature while been used. Breakfast was ok, coffee machine issues and cold eggs.

This hotel is very clean and all the woman receptionist very polite and helpful. Very happy with the service from them. The 2 man night staff were not helpful. I didn’t understand why I can’t order drink for our room and pay end of the stay. We even received letter in the morning that was outside the room not in envelope which everyone can read I didn’t like at all , reason been dater protection with don’t forget to pay for our order which we did straight away and had my full name on it.We stayed for 3 night so what was such a problem for those 2 night shift man. Otherwise all our stay was perfect. Thank u

เมื่อจองห้องนี้สําหรับวันครบรอบของเราฉันคาดหวังว่าจะมีห้องน้ําที่ใหญ่กว่าเล็กน้อยฉันยังถามว่าสะดวกไหมที่จะมีห้องที่เงียบสงบพร้อมอ่างอาบน้ําน่าเสียดายที่เราไม่ได้อยู่ติดกับประตูหลักในทางเดินดังนั้นมันจึงเงียบไม่ใช่สิ่งที่เรามี อาหารเช้าก็โอเค แต่ราคาสูงเกินไปอย่างแน่นอน การตกแต่งในห้องของเราเหนื่อยมากมีคราบสีลอกบนเก้าอี้และไม้ขาดหายไปบนกระดานกระโปรงต้องได้รับการปรับปรุงอย่างแน่นอน พนักงานโดยเฉพาะผู้หญิงที่เช็คอินให้เราน่ารักและให้การต้อนรับดีมาก 🙏

Big problems at check in but this was actually trip.coms faulty for not confirming booking with hotel. Trip.com happy to take my money first had to complaint against trip.com the compensated me but with a fight. Location good you get breakfast included don't expect anything special. Like no round eggs. Torquay is quite expensive so alcohol and drinks prices at the hotel high. You can walk to marina in 5 minutes. No car parking so if you want parking be prepared to walk

A very comfortable hotel, felt welcoming with their friendly staffs, an eco environment in every aspect and a lovely patio garden cafe with parasol and sofa. Great for family of 4, beds were comfy and the room was cool in summer with its clever eco cooling system. Location is great next to the M5 with easy access to Cornwall and Devon seasides.
