The room was clean, toilet also but still sound outside corridor can be heard clearly, especially when kids were shouting while walking through. Check in / out process was fast. Elevator helped much for bringing luggages Breakfast was good, the man who served was friendly. A bit difficult to find the location directly from Bremen Hauptbanhof, need google map to guide.

I wanted to stay close to the railway station, but this hotel wasn't quite close. Tram 25 was direct from the Central Station to the hotel, and provided as a bonus a trip through the city center. In front of the hotel was a shop with natural and eco products and food. Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the wifi was very good. The staff was kind and helpful. We had a medical emergency and had to ask for a 2-hours late checkout, agreed by the staff and charged accordingly. We did not have breakfast.  The room did not have any glass or cup, nor coffee facilities.

De verkoopautomaten gaven geen wisselgeld en het tegoed vervalt na elke aankoop. Dat is de dag erna netjes gecorrigeerd door een van de vriendelijke medewerkers. Verder was er op verzoek ook glutenvrij brood en was het ontbijt goed verzorgd. Laat inchecken was ook geen probleem en dit kon allemaal automatisch via een code die men invult waarna de deur automatisch opent.

The Ibis Budget hotel is in a great location right opposite the Hauptbahnhof (main train station for the city). If you’re looking to go to the Bremer Freimarkt in October, it’s right behind the Hauptbahnhof so you couldn’t find a better place. The Altstadt (old town) isn’t far away either, and you can get buses, trams or taxis right outside. This isn’t a hotel for peace and quiet - there is lots going on around it and it was fairly noisy inside and out with all the hustle and bustle of city life. We booked online and I was able to check in prior to arrival which was helpful - on arrival we just picked up keys and signed the forms, and the bill was sent later by email. The room is as you’d expect - very basic but clean and tidy. Everything worked and it all looked fresh. The beds were fairly comfortable and the shower was good. Unfortunately our air conditioning didn’t seem to work properly - there seemed to be no cooling function. As a consequence the room got really hot and stuffy overnight. We couldn’t really open the door because the city outside was noisy. The other serious issue we had was returning to our room after a day out to find it had been left unlocked by the cleaners. Luckily nothing had been taken, but I was not happy. The price was reasonable and the 12pm checkout is later than many hotels. We just had to drop our keys in a box in the lobby. In summary - this hotel’s best asset is its location. If you want to be in the middle of things:l, this place is for you.
