ผผู้เข้าพักIt was nice to be in a new hotel that is has well designed rooms, its just a little small to fully open a large suitcase. There are machines to fill your water bottle with cold water on each floor. The free breakfast is the best free breakfast that I have ever experienced in a Western country. There is the usual American breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, delicious has browns, cereal, bread but also delicious pastries...the buttery croissant is as good as any that I've ever tasted. Also lunch meats, fruits, vegetables. Machines that make cappuccino, latte, etc. , waffle maker. The granola even has chunks of hazelnuts! Very close to the water bus...Take this boat #1 or 2 headed back toward Piazzale Roma to get to the main part of Venice.
From the airport take the ACTV or ATVO bus for 10 Euros to the bus stop called Piazzale Roma. To get to the hotel take the People Mover (Monorail) from the bus stop name Piazzale Roma to the 2nd and last stop that is a block from the hotel... only about 1.55 Euro and just tap your cc or phone.
MMartin SnellingWe recently stayed here for 5 nights to take in the sights of Verona and surrounding cities. While I can't complain about the price, and for that, it was a bargain, there were a number of issues that resulted in a less than perfect rating.
The location: While it looks close to the main train station, it is about a 25 minute walk. However the 23/24/73 buses run regularly and pick-up / drop-off very close to the hotel
Lidl: next door to the hotel is a Lidl - it was a godsend and well worth visiting (if only for the fresh cheese focaccia).
The hotel itself was very clean but:
- The rooms have wooden floors and the walls aren't super-thick. So, when someone checks in to their room nearby, you can hear everything. At midnight, it isn't great when they're walking in heels across the floor.
- Lack of plug sockets - there was one usable plug in the room that is shared with the kettle, and one in the bathroom!
- Air conditioning (or severe lack of) - the rooms have air con, however, it wasn't switched on and I was told by reception that at this time of year (October) they don't have it switched on. The room temp was in the high 20s which led to us not actually sleeping under the covers - we spend 5 night sleeping on top of the bed as the room was just too hot. We couldn't sleep with the window open as their was too much noise from outside.
- The toilet flush was leaking 'hot water' - but this was repaired / replaced with a different toilet flush
- Staff: They were helpful when housekeeping has vacuumed up one of my wife's earrings, but didn't offer any assistance with regards to the heating in the room
