I needed a quick night stop on the way to Aberystwyth so this was only going to be a B&B stop.
However, points of note are:
(1) Friendly staff
(2) In need of a good update - rooms OK but clearly in need of TLC
(3) Room had a few places of thick dust and cobwebs
(4) Hotel in the main had ”stuff” in the corridors and things piled-up in certain rooms which were visible
A former coaching inn, this award-winning property is set in the heart of the market town of Newcastle Emlyn, just a few minutes’ drive from beautiful countryside.
Gwesty'r Emlyn Hotel’s contemporary rooms retain traditional features in this 300-year-old building, and include flat-screen satellite TV and tea/coffee facilities. The private bathroom in each room has a hairdryer.
Newcastle Emlyn is in the Teify Valley, West Wales, which is very popular for salmon and sewin (migratory trout) fishing. Guests are just 15 minutes’ drive from the coast, traveling through the hills, valleys and rivers of the region.
The award-winning Gwesty'r Emlyn serves cooked Welsh breakfast dishes. Pubs, cafés and restaurants can be found within a 20-minute walk, while Carmarthen is 30 minutes' drive away.
JJWLoved this hotel on the gorgeous west coast of Wales, in Cardigan bay.
Such friendly and attentive staff.
Driving here can be a bit hairy in places , along single lane country roads but once you get here it is worth it.
We ate in the hotel both nights and they moved people around for our reservation, as we were guests, and we had window seats over looking the beach. Such wonderful food, which i was so surprised about as it is a ‘pub chain brand’ inn/ hotel. Chefs definitely know what they are doing.
On each side of Tresaith are coastal path walks to other stunning locations.
Such a wonderful place to end our 6 days in beautiful Wales.
YYunyskaI dropped my daughter off at the university and needed a place to stay for a few days. The room was very clean. Coming from the US, I loved the fact that my room had its own private bathroom. The food at the restaurant was also good, even my daughter enjoyed it. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again. I stayed in room 1.

JJueI booked very last minute on Sunday due to an emergency, everything was smooth and fabulous, the host (sorry should have asked his name) was very patient and cooked excellent breakfast. It was a great experience, would recommend. Thank you
