A suberb location close to everything and perfect views out over the bay .  The size of the suite was spacious and also offered cooking facilities.  A few broken things so I think maintenance could be improved, and we didn’t get offered under cover parking which I assumed was for the junior suites. The swimming pool was nice .

Clean rooms and facilities. Could get crowded in the main season but was really nice in late February. Large kitchen with fridges.

Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!!! Bed was super comfy and the room was so quiet!!! Perfect location to everything!!! 10/10

Great place to stay. A little drive from the beach but it is nice and quiet and comfortable enough. Ensure to bring blankets or pay the bedding!

Slightly tired with some maintenance due. Too many emails (I think 9 in total) re the stay. When on holiday I don't want 9 extra emails!. Staff great, rooms really good and quiet considering the location. It would be good to get all the Sky TV channels for the amount charged. I.e it was missing Channel 7,17,21 etc.

Accomodation was satisfactory. However, on our check out day we overslept and past our check out time. Instead of trying to contact us, hotel reception unlocked our doors and woke us up. Although the fault is entirely ours, this striked as a security and safety concern to us.

I had a lovely lady at the front desk when I checked in. Professional & polite even with my late evening check-in. Room was great - clean tidy & well presented! I enjoy my status at The Sands, thank you!

Make no mistake, this place is old. The shower plug was rusty and looked nasty. The carpet is dirty. I killed six daddy long legs lurking in the room. But the service was fine, and the room was the right size if you want three beds (for the room we stayed in). The TV size and quality were also good. Oh, and they had a gym, which many other places didn't offer, though the machines looked like they were from the 70s. Proceed with low expectations, but go for it if the price is right for your budget.
