my wife and I had a very enjoyable weekend break at Ropewalks. the hotel was centrally located, which suited us as we were away without kids and wanted to make the most of that. breakfast was your standard fare, but there was a chef cooking to order. the service staff at breakfast were excellent. would recommend for a boozy city break. thr hotel is neat to a lot of late bars and night clubs which was noisy and may be an issue for some travelers.

Hi, as we were leaving the hotel today I mentioned the cost of our stay was £193.50 for a one night stay with a continental breakfast! There was no kitchen facilities to offer a cooked breakfast or food. I feel this is soo expensive, your sight had no mention of the kitchen being closed or the replacement of a cooked breakfast with a basic continental option. I also mentioned the room 208 was tatty with stains on the carpet, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. It was mentioned that because Everton were playing at home that’s why the cost went up!! I understand economics but to increase the cost by nearly £120 is ridiculous. We have stayed at the Aloft on a number of occasions but feel we won’t be returning in a hurry. Can you please look into my comments. I would appreciate some form of refund or compensation. The price of the hotel is relatively low because its location is near to some local attractions and it provides the guests with wider choice of food for their breakfast. The manner of the staff there is good too. Some of them are Asians and they can speak both Contonese and Mandarin.

This place was amazing, a very nice room. The staff were lovely, and very friendly!♥️ The place was perfectly located, right next to a metro line. Which was perfect for us as we came up to Liverpool for the Chester zoo for our 1 year anniversary. It was more then perfect and we chose right with places to stay within the city. I will say, I felt the beds weren’t that great and was practically falling apart… but, it was for a full weekend so we weren’t as bothered. The place was lovely either way.

When we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC. I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did. Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there. I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this

It's centrally located. The beds are comfortable, and the sheets are clean. However, the bathrooms could be cleaned more carefully. The rooms are newly renovated, so there are some shortcomings. The staff is friendly and helpful.

amazing check-in a lovely gift of 2 drinks for a birthday treat. Unfortunately, the room was very dusty and was in need of a better clean but overall a nice stay
