If there would be a Champions League for hotels, Rixos Tersane would win it. The nature of my media profession necessitates many hotel stays in many countries. Usually I cannot wait to go home. This time everything was different. Welcome? I felt as a family member, not paying guest. Design? Beautiful. Rooms? Perfect size, waterfront views, very comfortable beds, seating area, desk to work on, well above average storage space, and then the bathroom... history in the building, on the walls, there are books to read or consult about city and country. Food and beverage? Best I had in years at a hotel, from breakfast to dinner. Breakfast in particular is out of a stylish Hollywood movie. If a convention or conference is coming up - book it here. 2000 happy delegates? Easy :-) But there was something else, too: the team, their staff. How a hotel is managed reflects in staff attitude. According to my opinion and I spoke with many, this hotel must have the best possible management anywhere in the world. Thank you!

The hotel staff were kind and courteous from the get-go. We were delighted to receive an upgrade and were impressed by the size of the room.
All facilities within the room were kept in excellent order. However, some attention to cleanliness was lapsing. We found dirty handprints on the TV and walls. This, however, was rectified with housekeeping.
Breakfast was included in our package but the range and quality of food was not very good. At one point, during our stay, there was nowhere to sit, and our plates were cleared away before we had finished our food.
The location is about 30 mins away from the main tourist sites, but the Mall of Istanbul is a 15-minute car journey away. This is a great mall for shopping, entertainment, and getting something to eat. There is also an outlet mall 10 mins walk away that has a supermarket, fast food restaurants and a few branded shops.
Overall, I was pretty pleased with the hotel and would stay again.

Location is not very convenient. Room service food is average at best. Several times the bed sheets and cover was still wet when they replaced them. Room is very small. Rooftop bar plays good music. Breakfast is the same everyday. The best experience we had with this hotel was the doorman. Overall experience was below average.

I chose this hotel because I wanted to have a bath in a room. But it wasn't worth it. The location is bad. There is nothing really around. Don't expect to have a view.
The room was old and cold. The bathtub was very small. The paint on the walls took off years ago. So I couldn't really relax as I imagined. I think, the hotel wasn't renewed for years..
The breakfast was not worth 500 liras.
Even though it's a 5 star hotel, there was almost no one who could speak English.
I would not recommend staying here.
Finally, the family decided to visit Istanbul and do some shopping. It has been a long time since the last visit before the COVID-19 traveling band. To be close to the traditional shopping area, I selected Holiday Inn Sisli Hotel and I booked two rooms. I remember 4 or 5 years back, it was a great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Also the rooms are very neat and clean. Surprisingly, the check-in welcoming was exceptional, not because my IHG membership only, but as expected, the staff are very friendly. Exceptional, Mr. Yunus Emre Özek, who is in charge of The Guest Relations was distinguished in his welcoming, smiling, friendly assistance and help for my wife at the time and my daughter at the second time when she arrived. Mr. Yunus extended his assistance and help every morning when the family saw him on the way to the restaurant for breakfast. He even gave me sweet words over the phone, which I will keep in mind forever by saying your family is my family and just restassured Yunus is here to help them. A part of that as I said, the hotel location is great, and the rooms and path rooms are net and clean. The room sleeping quality is excellent despite the busy all-day street outside. The family is feeling very safe in this hotel as well. The overall stay is awesome, and 10 out of 10, despite the price tendency, is toward the high end. Regards
MMojganWe had a very unpleasant experience with stuff at the lobby , being there for Christmas Eve , me & my sister decide to eat inside the hotel rather to go out so at 10 pm we came down to the lobby where there is lounge area , for almost 15 minutes we saw that the lounge staff is passing us without asking if we want to order so I called one of the waitress and she came toward us with furious gestures before I start asking she said to me do you have a room in the hotel and I said yes , she continues what’s your room number and I replied , again with the cold face and rude behavior she continues ‘ under the name ?’ And I replied, she turned back to her desk without asking us what we would like to order and From her desk she went straight to reception to verify my information!!! My jaws dropped when I saw this , really rude & unprofessional behavior I was in complete shock that she even went to reception to verify the information, but the worst part was that after she verified and actually saw that we are the guest of the hotel she turned back to her desk and continued ignoring us , I never ever seen in my entire life a waitress permits herself to act like this with 5 star hotel guests, at this point we asked another waitress that if she can took our order , we then asked her if the hotel have another restaurant and she replied yes but the kitchen is closed after 10:30 pm , I don’t recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to enjoy the hotel facility, the staff are not guest friendly, the dining section is in some floor but for person like me that wants more easy snacks and chill area wasn’t really good option, not to mention that when we came back to our room we really felt so heavy and frustrated by this behavior, we were supposed to go today to lounge before departing but as for yesterday experience we just decide to check out soon and leave the hotel because we didn’t like to tolerate the attitude of this waitress ( she is the short women with short brown hair ) I suggest the general manager to see the video of yesterday and review their staff!
ผผู้เข้าพักOur stay was really pleasant and nice. The location of the hotel is great! Really close to all of the monuments, the city centre and good restaurants. You have everything you need on the same street. The staff is always friendly! At the reception Selim was really welcoming and helpful and also the guys at the breakfast service Mehmet and Yalain :) ( I hope I wrote the names right) The cleaning service also really good! At general a lovely stay for our first time in Istanbul.
AAries TravellerWe stay in Crowne for 2 night. We arrived a little bit early and the lady let us checked in slightly early and they even upgraded our room ( we are very lucky).
They have lots of option for breakfast. The tram station is 5 minutes walk. You can get around the city with tram.
We will come back to Crowne after our Konya and Cappadocia trip. It's definitely worth it to stay in this hotel.
SsfsvI stayed here since Turkish airlines put me there after missing my connecting flight. The location is bad. Nothing interesting around to even get a bite to eat but also it is far to get to interesting places, not because distance but time to travel. The room had water damage on the floor but not repaired. After getting into my first shower, I found that they were out of conditioner (big bottle on the shower wall). They did not even check after the last guest. The big problem with the place is that their main customers are not you! It is tour agencies or Turkish airlines. They don't seem to care about the real guests. As I walking into the breakfast with my carryon, A staff member stopped me and rudely said that it it is ”forbidden” to bring in luggage into breakfast area, the point is not just the mentality is working with what is forbidden but also being rude. When I asked what I was going to do with it, no answer. Then, I said sarcastically that he should watch my carryon while having breakfast, still no answer. Then, I left my carryon with the front desk. While checking out, I told them about conditioner, the answer back was you should have called us to get the conditioner. I laughed ”I was already in shower, was I supposed to get out of shower, call you, wait, and continue my shower?” I advised them to train their staff better. I also mentioned the experience with the carryon on the way to breakfast that their staff member was rude. Again, I advised him to train their staff. To my surprise, he said things are so busy, they don't have to train their staff well, another sarcastic comment was deserved ”you have time to train them on what is forbidden but can't find the train them how to talk to guest? After checking out, I did a test my theory, it right on the spot. So, you should have a feel now. Not well maintained hotel, not training their staff on hospitality. If you are paying for it, you can do much better easily.
