The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

The hotel is simple in a good way. The rooms are small but well designed so it is ok. The pool is huge and everybody is around not in which is even better for people who like to swim quietly. The beach is artificial but that is the way it is. The breakfast is outstanding, on of the best ever, and god knows how many breakfasts I have eaten in hotels. The a la carte menu that you can have at the pool bar or at your lounge chair is short but very tasty. Little deception with the buffet that we took at dinner on our arrival, but you have so many options to dine out as the hotel is located 50 meters from the ”center”, an open air food court with very good restaurants if you choose carefully. Last but not least, If you are into kiting and/or wing-foiling the hotel has an agreement with the Duotone Center located in Casa Cook's a sister hotel. It is a 15 minute ride by Tuk Tuk. In a nutshell we recommend.

The food was good, with plenty of variety at the buffet and snack bar. The beach was clean, spacious, and perfect for relaxing or enjoying time with family. The pool and other facilities were also well-maintained. However, we would suggest adding more dedicated beach space specifically for resort guests to enhance comfort and privacy. We were especially pleased to receive our room cards promptly upon arrival. Also, sincere thanks to Mr. Mohamed Adel, the restaurant waiter, for his outstanding service during every visit. property, but service and logistics need improvement I have mixed feelings about our stay. On the positive side, the hotel is new and very well-designed. The restaurant is spacious with great indoor and outdoor seating, and the breakfast was decent. The beach is stunning—very quiet with crystal clear water—but be careful entering the sea as there are many rocks at the shoreline. However, there are several drawbacks: Service: The staff seems very inexperienced. We were charged to upgrade from a single to a double room even though the website listed them at the same price. At breakfast, we had to ask for coffee multiple times before it actually arrived. Facilities: Surprisingly, the main pool is not heated, and there is no elevator, which is worth noting if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Location: You are quite isolated here. You definitely need a car or a shuttle to get anywhere. Overall, it’s a nice physical space, but the management needs to better train the staff to match the ”new” feel of the resort.

We also want to express our appreciation to Mr. Mohammed at the reception. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. His professionalism made our check-in and daily interactions smooth and pleasant. A very big thank you as well to Mr. Saied Abdelmoneem from Room Service. He took great care of us and made sure our room was always prepared perfectly. His attention to detail truly stood out. And we can’t forget Chef Elsayed head of chefs, whose delicious dishes made every meal memorable. His creativity, skill, and passion for food added a special touch to our honeymoon experience. We enjoyed every bite! Overall, Flow Spectrum exceeded our expectations and made our honeymoon incredibly special. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to return in the future!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au Siva Golden Bay Makadi. L’hôtel est magnifique avec une vue incroyable. Tout est très propre, la chambre était nickel. Le personnel est super souriant, aux petits soins et très arrangeant. Petit clin d’œil à Ahmed qui s’occupe du nettoyage des chambres et Hussein Ali qui nous a gentiment offert le late check-out. La plage est magnifique, la piscine très propre, les équipements sont variés et de bonne qualité. Pour la nourriture, ça pouvait aller, le barbecue de l’après-midi était assez bon et le repas du soir également, excepté le petit déjeuner que nous n’avons vraiment pas aimé. Le seul bémol est que l’hôtel est loin du centre, néanmoins pour déconnecter il est parfait. Nous n’avons pas croisé de touristes français dans l’hôtel, il y a une forte population slave, donc le dépaysement est total. Nous vous le recommandons mille fois.

The **food** was simply outstanding. The quality, taste, and unbelievable variety exceeded all expectations. Every meal offered something new and delicious, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. The **staff** deserve special recognition. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always smiling and genuinely happy to help, serving guests with dedication and pleasure. Their positive attitude made us feel at home from the very first day. A special thank you goes to **Mr. Nader** at the Reception. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hotel reception managers I have ever met. He is highly professional, courteous, and an excellent problem-solver. Any issue was handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile. I would also like to thank **Mr. Mohamed Moawad** from the Food & Beverage Department. He is one of the finest professionals at the hotel—extremely humble, welcoming, respectful, and genuinely caring about the guests' comfort. Another person who deserves special praise is **Chef Mahmoud**. He is simply one of the best. His passion and dedication are reflected in the outstanding quality of the food served throughout the resort. The team at the **Eastern Restaurant** was exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. **Mostafa** and **Ashraf** and **Mohamed**deserve special recognition for their excellent service and kindness. Dining there was always a wonderful experience. The **Room Service** was also excellent. **Majed** is a kind-hearted gentleman who serves guests with genuine dedication, professionalism, and a cheerful attitude. His hard work did not go unnoticed. The **beach** is beautiful, sandy, clean, and perfect for families. There were always plenty of available sunbeds and enough space for everyone to relax comfortably without feeling crowded. The hotel offers a great selection of restaurants: * The International Restaurant next to the Reception. * The Pasta Restaurant on the second floor. * The Eastern Restaurant with its outdoor grill near the Reception. * The large white beach restaurant serving Shawarma, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza. * Another beach restaurant serving snacks and French fries. Every one of these restaurants offered excellent food and service. The only point I would suggest improving is the **swimming pool area**. The hotel has only one main pool, which is not enough considering the large number of guests staying at the resort. Overall, my family and I had an outstanding holiday. The excellent hospitality, delicious food, beautiful beach, and the genuine kindness of the staff made this one of our best vacations. I highly recommend **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** and look forward to returning again.
