This hotel is absolutely amazing. The front desk is super friendly. Upon arrival, they immediately offer free coffee and orange juice. The rooms are spacious and super clean. At some point, I went outside and couldn't find a taxi back, after calling the hotel to ask if they could help me order a taxi, they immediately came by themselves to pick me up! They also offer free laundry. Breakfast is great. I would definitely come back to this hotel if I come to the area again.
Great modern hotel at the foot of the South gate of Huangshan. Excellent service and breakfast buffet. Concierge helped us and explained how shuttle bus and cableway operated as it was our first time to this area. We'd like to come back and stay again.
Very clean and comfortable! The staff is also super nice: we asked them to keep our luggage for a few hours after the checkout, and they agreed with no problems. If you get a room on a high floor, the view is amazing!

AArweniI stayed at Emerald Resort Huangshan during Golden Week (September 30 – October 2).
The resort itself is beautiful — surrounded by nature and mountains, quiet and relaxing. My room was clean, cozy, and a great place to rest after hiking Huangshan.
However, my first impression was disappointing because of the two ladies at the front desk during check-in. They never smiled and often seemed annoyed or impatient, even when I spoke politely and smiled. I understand my Chinese isn’t fluent, but I’ve stayed at several hotels across China where the staff still try to speak slowly or use a translation app — but not here.
On October 2, I messaged the hotel through WeChat to ask for help, but no one replied for hours. Later, I saw that the same front-desk lady who ignored the message wasn’t handling any guests at all — the phone was right next to her, but she still didn’t bother to respond. That left a very negative impression.
In contrast, the male receptionist on the October 1 morning shift was exceptionally kind and professional. He replied to my WeChat messages immediately and politely, and he helped me arrange the shuttle to Huangshan Mountain, explaining the details patiently.
Other staff members were wonderful too:

✨ The restaurant team during breakfast was truly delightful — humble, cheerful, and friendly. They tried to chat with me in simple English, laughed together when we misunderstood each other, and made my mornings feel bright and welcoming.
