We stayed for one night at Yingjia Jinling Grand Hotel, Huoshan, traveling as a three-generation family—my wife, our 3- and 5-year-old daughters, and two grandparents. Tucked away in a small mountain county in Anhui, the property turned out to be an unexpected find. What stands out immediately is the price-to-quality contrast: standard rates run on the order of one-fifth to one-twentieth of what a comparable international luxury five-star would charge, depending on the specific brand and city, yet the hardware and execution make no compromises. The room build-out is benchmarked directly to international five-star standards. In-room systems: the smart bidet toilet, automated curtains, and intuitive lighting controls, are on par with top-tier properties in Beijing, Shanghai, or Guangzhou, with no discernible difference. Even the smaller amenity details show uncommon care; the hotel stocks dental floss picks in the bathroom, a practical touch that many luxury properties skip entirely. Overall service was attentive and thorough. If I had to point out any shortcomings, there is no mini-bar in the room, and the in-room coffee is instant rather than freshly brewed. Beyond the room, the area immediately surrounding the hotel added another surprising dimension that made this small mountain county feel like even more of an unexpected find. Just outside the property, the surrounding complex features a large musical fountain, open-air cultural and stage performances, and a dedicated snack street that comes alive at night with barbecue and beer. Having lived in the United States, I had never seen this much vibrancy gathered around a hotel, and it gave us an effortless, enjoyable way to spend the evening together. (Imagine Bellagio but 1/10 the crowd)  The standout feature of our stay was the family room, which was exceptionally kid-friendly. Instead of token gestures, the room came equipped with thoughtful amenities tailored to traveling with young children. Inside, the kids were happily at play with a little alpaca-styled toy car. The hotel also sent up snacks alongside a small gift, brought by an actual robot. In the bathroom, they provided dedicated children’s slippers, children’s toiletries, an adapted toilet seat ring, and a small step stool so our girls could reach the sink and wash their hands by themselves. They even included a small night light, which came in handy, as the little ones are genuinely afraid of the dark. It is rare to see a hotel anticipate the practical logistics of a family stay this thoroughly, especially in a quiet county setting. Yingjia Jinling Grand Hotel is a genuine hidden gem in Huoshan, and I recommend it without hesitation.

My stay at Luming Valley Hotspring Holidays B&B exceeded every expectation from the moment we drove up the hill. My husband and I stayed in the Mountainscape Terrace Mountain View Suite, which genuinely felt like a 5‑star hotel room. It was spotless, beautifully furnished, and equipped with an incredibly comfortable bed, a fully stocked mini fridge, and a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The smart controls operated by “Xiao Bao” were a fun and convenient touch. We were completely blown away and honestly wished we could have stayed in the room forever. Even before our arrival, the staff communicated with us via WeChat to ensure everything went smoothly. We were able to speak with an English‑speaking staff member who took care of every detail for us—booking the hot springs, arranging breakfast, dinner, and afternoon tea, and even offering to help us get to the train station on our last day. Their attentiveness went far beyond anything we’ve experienced at other hotels. We were even given a thoughtful bag of gifts upon departure. Because the hotel is quite isolated, we ate all our meals on-site. The cuisine is Chinese, which isn’t usually my preference, but everything was delicious, freshly prepared, and presented with great care. A standout was the afternoon tea we enjoyed on our second day. We could choose to dine in our room or at the restaurant, which was perfect depending on how we felt each day. The highlight of our stay was definitely the hot springs. There are four in total, and we used the two located higher on the hill, which offered an incredible view—even on a cloudy day. The temperature was perfect, and everything was exceptionally clean. The staff assured us that each pool is drained and refilled after every use, which gave us great peace of mind. Soaking in the hot springs in the heart of winter, surrounded by Huangshan’s beautiful mountains, was an unforgettable experience. The hotel is about an hour from both Huangshanxi and Huangshanbei stations and easily reachable by car or Didi. Due to the weather, we didn’t visit the mountain scenic area, but the staff were more than willing to help us plan if we wanted to explore the surroundings. This was truly a 10/10 stay. The staff make you feel like you’re the only guests there with their warmth and attentiveness. The design and architecture are stunning, and the hotel even smells amazing. I have absolutely no complaints and would rank this among the best hotels I’ve stayed at anywhere in the world. It’s a perfect romantic getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. I can’t wait to return!

This hotel is located stone throw from both the bus terminals, so location 5 stars. Amenities - rooms, restaurant, foot massage center(cannot locate) and Chinese chess rooms. Not sure, how this hotel is awarded 5 stars? Rooms setup - guess it is time to renovate. Heard the renovation project is approved! Cheers! Services - rooms for improvement! As I had a early flight to catch at 9.50am and the earliest bus from the mountain to the tourist center was 6.30am (again different front desk staffs told me different timings) so I tried to request for a paid car service to send me down. They said the hotel doesn't provide such service, asked me to reach out in the streets to see if the resturants or shop owners can provide such services! 1st time encounter in a 5 stars hotel, really a good learning for me in 2024:)

Beautiful location and excellent service from reception (manager gave us a free upgrade to the best room on the property!) to arranging everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The Deputy manager Felix was most helpful, he speaks English and we also received a thoughtful parting gift of local tea. The food at Bai Yun and Ming Yue restaurants were excellent! The buffet breakfast quality and choice was top notch. We wished we stayed longer than one night! We stayed here after two nights at Huangshan Summit so the in the room wooden bath soaks was a dream. Room was very clean and spacious. Truly 5-star!
