The DoubleTree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro is set in a truly unique and picturesque location, surrounded by beautiful scenery and plenty of charm. The setting itself makes it a special place to stay, and it’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area. The historic building and grounds add to the overall experience, giving it a character you don’t often find in modern hotels. That said, I did notice a few small details that could improve the guest experience — some of the typical hotel amenities were missing, such as basic cutlery and mouth rinse cups in the room. While not major issues, it’s something I would have expected at this level of accommodation. Overall, the stay was enjoyable thanks to the setting and atmosphere, and with a little more attention to those details, it could be an excellent all-round experience.

Inconvenient location and nice staff The staff are quite friendly and nice. The location is... a bit hard to say. If you are a nature lover, u probably enjoy the walk in the neighborhood. There're hills and nice houses nearby. Around 5 min walk from the hotel, there's a nice track called Strathblane Railway Path. But if you want to get to the city centre, and you can't drive, you can only get there by a bus which is 50 min ride (note that it's 1 to 2 hour frequency). I waited for the bus at the buschanan bus station on Saturday at 7pm (it's scheduled at 7:10pm) and the bus went missing. I asked staff at the bus station and they told me to find the help desk but it was closed and the hotline was also shut down. I waited for the next bus at 8:35pm and luckily it did arrive. So make sure you check the bus schedule if you are going for a tour/taking train in the city centre!!!

Great hotel, lovely clean rooms and nice spa area. Extended our initial booking by a further two nights and were able to stay in the same room.

Lovely hotel and delicious food. We loved the location and the pool area and facilities. Only issue we had was the heat. It was particularly mild for November and the staff weren’t able to adjust the temperature. We were given a dusty and broken fan to combat the heat but sadly no one came forward with an apology when we brought it to staff that we had to leave the window open wide all night to try combat the heat. I know it wasn’t the individuals fault but good customer service would apologise to the customer and none of the 4 staff we spoke to about it offered an apology and they seemed disgruntled about it too.

Inside the Stirling university which is a nice and quiet environment, but it requires travelling to the city centre. There is no restaurant which opens for dinner except that in the hotel. The original room on ground floor given to us has a strong odour smell, which did not disappear after cleaning by housekeeping team. The reception initially refused to change the room. Only after we insisted then we were given another room on the first floor, but it wasted us almost 1.5 hour in waiting. Otherwise, everything is very good including the excellent breakfast.

Comfortable stay, hotel a bit dated but clean and functional, staff mainly friendly, issues at breakfast with staff working really hard but not able to keep up with food replenishment, told by manager to use a paper cup as no clean cups available, had to ask twice for coffee machine to be filled with milk. Reasonable choice of breakfast items, unfortunately no pastries though. Good amount of free parking available, staff clearing and cleaning tables friendly and hardworking.

ห้องพักมีขนาดใหญ่และสะอาดและการต้อนรับส่วนหน้าน่าอยู่และช่วยเหลือดี พื้นที่นั่งเล่นและห้องอาหารของโรงแรมมีขนาดใหญ่และสว่าง การตกแต่งดูครึ้มและทันสมัยด้วยการใช้พรมและวอลเปเปอร์ที่น่าเกลียดอย่างกว้างขวางทุกที่ การจัดวาล์วผสมฝักบัวแปลกตาทําให้อ่างอาบน้ําเต็มเร็วมากเวลาอาบน้ํา การจัดประตู/ตัวกรองน้ําที่ยื่นออกมาเป็นกระจกทําให้ไม่สามารถเก็บสเปรย์อาบน้ําทิ้งไว้ที่พื้นห้องน้ําได้ ประตูห้องน้ําไม่มีที่จับ/ไม้กวาด/ล็อคให้อย่างถูกต้องเพื่อความเป็นส่วนตัวและถูกจับไว้ปิดด้วยแม่เหล็กเท่านั้น การหาที่จอดรถเป็นเรื่องน่ากลัว เอาจุดปกติไปหมดแล้วสิ่งที่เหลือก็วุ่นวายอย่างสิ้นเชิง ทุกคนก็แค่สาธิตและจอดรถทุกที่ที่พวกเขาสามารถหาจุดตามทางขับรถ บนหญ้า ฯลฯ Wi-Fi ใช้งานไม่ได้ตลอดการเข้าพัก ตลอดระยะเวลา เข้าพัก พนักงานต้อนรับแจ้งว่า รีโมทเตอร์น่าจะเป็น ”โหลดเกิน” เค้ารีเซ็ปเตอร์แล้วแต่ไม่ช่วยอะไร ไม่มีหยด LAN ทางกายภาพในห้องด้วย เราจ่าย 20 ปอนด์สําหรับอาหารเช้าที่ตอนแรกไม่มี (แบบบุฟเฟ่ต์ - แทบจะว่างเปล่าถึงเครื่องทําอุ่นว่างๆ) เมื่อเราเข้าไปบริเวณห้องอาหารคนน้อยแต่หลายอย่าง1โต๊ะสูงสุดปูด้วยจานสกปรก ช้อนส้อม ฯลฯ2หลังจากอาหารรอที่ยืดยาวก็คืบออกมา ระหว่างนั้นเราต้องหากาแฟ(กาแฟแบบIN-masse) ของกินที่แท้จริงก็โอเคเมื่อปรากฏตัว แต่หลายรายการมีการรีโนเวทของที่เตรียมไว้ล่วงหน้าและแทบไม่มีตัวเลือก (ผลไม้ โยเกิร์ตธรรมดา ฯลฯ)

พวกเราได้รับการต้อนรับอย่างดีเยี่ยมราวกับเป็นราชวงศ์ที่โรงแรมโคเลสซิโอ ห้องสวีทบรูซเป็นสถานที่ที่สมบูรณ์แบบและหรูหราสำหรับการใช้คืนวันเกิดที่น่าจดจำของฉัน พนักงานต้อนรับเอาใจใส่ ใจดี และช่วยเหลือเป็นอย่างดี การเดินทางไปยังสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวต่างๆ ก็สะดวกสบายมาก เตียงและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกทำให้เรานอนหลับสบายตลอดคืน และเราก็เพลิดเพลินกับอาหารเช้าแสนอร่อย เรามีความทรงจำที่ยอดเยี่ยมเกี่ยวกับโรงแรมโคเลสซิโอ!

I really loved my stay The Allan Park. Such a nice cozy homie place. Very spacious room that has everything you need, staff is really helpful and friendly, cozy lounge room with a fireplace. The only thing I would suggest adding is the hook on a bathroom door for a towel. Would love to stay here in future and highly recommend for anyone.
