Here’s a simple review for the Holiday Inn Express:
I had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express! The room was spacious, and the location was perfect—close to the train station, city center, and surrounded by convenient stores and food options. The car park right behind the hotel was very convenient and reasonably priced at just £6 for 24 hours.
A special mention to the receptionist, Debbie, who provided polite, helpful, and considerate service. She made the stay even better. Highly recommend this hotel for its value and excellent service!
Simple but lovely hotel. Right in the centre of all the local amenities. Loads of parking available right outside the front of the hotel. Get yourself in the coaster opposite the hotel live singers and cheap drinks in the daytime.
Hi, as we were leaving the hotel today I mentioned the cost of our stay was £193.50 for a one night stay with a continental breakfast! There was no kitchen facilities to offer a cooked breakfast or food. I feel this is soo expensive, your sight had no mention of the kitchen being closed or the replacement of a cooked breakfast with a basic continental option. I also mentioned the room 208 was tatty with stains on the carpet, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall. It was mentioned that because Everton were playing at home that’s why the cost went up!! I understand economics but to increase the cost by nearly £120 is ridiculous. We have stayed at the Aloft on a number of occasions but feel we won’t be returning in a hurry. Can you please look into my comments. I would appreciate some form of refund or compensation. Many thanks Lee Atkinson
I always use the adelphi in Liverpool. It started with national coach excursions but this time iit was for one night only as I went to the empire theatre which is just up the road. It gets bad reviews but I won't hear a bad word about it. You get what you pay for
SSqrz_96Great stay at the Knowsley. The staff were friendly and there is parking which is a bonus. The rooms were generally clean but the dining area could have been cleaner - some crockery needed re-cleaning. The fire alarm went off mid way through the night but was quickly dealt with. The breakfast was OK - a good selection of food but the ingredients were of low quality and quite greasy. I'd stay here again however but would go elsewhere for breakfast.
ผผู้เข้าพักmy wife and I had a very enjoyable weekend break at Ropewalks. the hotel was centrally located, which suited us as we were away without kids and wanted to make the most of that. breakfast was your standard fare, but there was a chef cooking to order. the service staff at breakfast were excellent. would recommend for a boozy city break. thr hotel is neat to a lot of late bars and night clubs which was noisy and may be an issue for some travelers.

LLucy KendrickI have stayed at The Pullman before and had no issues, however this time we were not overly impressed.
I paid for a king room, but when it came to the evening we soon discovered we had been placed in a room with a zip lock bed which had not been connected, causing there to be an uncomfortable and noticeable gap between the 2 singles. There was also dried blood on the sheets.
We spoke to reception and we were offered an alternative room with a king sized bed.
Unfortunately, the room we were placed in was directly above the arena where a rave was taking place meaning the bass reverberated around the whole room until approx 11pm.
We had been out for a meal on the docks, and upon returning to the hotel we were met with rave goers slumped in the doorway, and a guy urinating outside one of the entrances, as well as groups fighting directly outside and gathering in the hotel bar/foyer.
Not a great experience at all!
ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed here the night before creamfeilds I will start with the good points .. Staff 10/10 so helpful and very good customer services skills.. cleanliness was top notch, the breakfast was plentiful, the mattress in the bed room was actually one of the most comfortable hotel mattresses I have stayed on and I was thinking we would get a lovely nights rest before our festival but on to the bad points. we had the worst nights sleep of our lives our room was facing the road. Now this road is busy throughout the whole of the night. It is non stop, you can hear every car, every lorry, every motor bike, every horn every engine zooming past all throughout the whole night ! We barely slept a wink !! We was shattered the next day. We told the staff the manager said to go through the app we booked on and we can get 20% back as they would of gave us a free breakfast for our trouble but we had already bought one . The manager and receptionist were so lovely. They do know this is an issue and have been trying to get something implemented from the company to resolve this issue as it’s not just us who have complained about this .. and unfortunately I would not stay here again until the issue is resolved and they got the triple glazing windows to reduce noise otherwise I would much rather book another hotel without the noise issues so I could get a good nights rest ..
VValGreat value hotel with friendly & helpful service. Room decor a little dated but impeccably clean and with comfortable beds.
Hotel is old airport terminal and there are old planes on the ‘airside’ behind the building!
JJanieLizNegative points from our stay
I travelled with my 11 year old grandson, I booked us a twin room, which we got. Unfortunately, the room was an adjoining room to a double and the ”activity” noises from the other room were so bad that we checked out at 11pm as I didn't want my grandson to have to experience that. It literally sounded like they were in the room with us. I would perhaps suggest that in the future you look at your guest list and unless adjoining rooms are with the same party, where children are in a twin, look to accommodate the couple in another part of the hotel where possible.
I was disappointed that we were expected to pay £5 each to use the pool as I have never stayed at an hotel where it is not included in the room price.
Positive
All the staff were really friendly and helped as much as they could. The night Duty Manager was especially helpful and empathetic to my room dilemma but was unable to find us an alternative twin room, only a double which was not appropriate for us.
We ate in the bar and the food was exceptional although a little pricey.
The location was good and the hotel was easy to find. Be careful when you leave as there are two speed bumps on the exit, and no matter how slow you are going, it feels and sounds like your cars insides are dropping out.
Rooms were spotless and beds very comfortable.
ผผู้เข้าพักWhen we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC.
I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did.
Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there.
I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this
