Everything perfect as always. Just two comments: firstly the bathrooms are way too small, and secondly, a hotel of this quality should not consider it necessary to charge extra for parking, though i admit that this does unfortunately seem to be becoming the norm these days. That said, all in all a lovely hotel.
I stayed at the Bush Hotel Farnham while attending a memorial service. Overall, it was a great stay — the hotel is charming and well-located, with good cleanliness and amenities. The atmosphere felt calm and respectful, which suited the occasion.
That said, the rooms felt quite dated. While everything was tidy and functional, the old-fashioned decor didn’t quite match the price point. Service was decent, though not exceptional.
Still, a solid choice if you value tradition and a peaceful environment, but be aware the interiors may not be modern.
I was staying at the hotel due to an important business meeting the next day, unfortunately my sleep was broken at 2am with a fire alarm going off due to other hotel guests, I was expecting some kind of kind refund or a discount off my next stay as I have used this hotel to stay for business many times before but nothing was offered and the interruption in my sleep affected my business meeting the next day, very disappointed in the way this was handled.
The place is spacious and cozy, with a modern design. The bathroom is quite large and includes a handrail next to the toilet, which is very suitable for elderly residents who need assistance. The bedroom is equipped with several call bells that allow residents to easily seek help from staff if they feel unwell — a thoughtful feature for the elderly. The bed is soft.
The Travelodge Dorking is a great choice for guests looking for accommodation in Dorking, having been recently opened in 2025. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Dorking Deepdene located approximately 800m away and London Gatwick Airport roughly 23km away. Seeing Dorking's sights from this hotel is easy with Surrey Hills Brewery Ltd, St Joseph's Church and Pixham Lane Sports Ground all close by. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings.
MMuraliRThe hotel is in a central place and very close to the bus station and not far from the Guildford Railway station (walking distance - 12 min or so). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only difficulty was that we had our room on the first floor and at the further end and as there were no lifts (it is a heritage building so they cannot make any changes to the structure) we had to carry our luggage upto the first floor and navigate other steps to the room. There was no other option. We did have help when we arrived but had to carry the luggage by ourselves when we left. This is, though, a very small issue as the property itself was one of the better ones we stayed during our trip. The rooms were certainly larger room than some of the other hotel rooms I have stayed in London or Guildford.
