A Comfortable, Pet-Friendly Stay with a Few Areas for Improvement The hotel can be difficult to identify when you first arrive because there is no sign directly on the building. Instead, the sign is attached to a gate that usually remains open, so it becomes partially folded and easy to miss. The hotel also does not have on-site parking. Guests park across the street at the restaurant where breakfast is served each morning. Breakfast was traditional Chinese and included steamed buns, sweet potato, a hard-boiled egg, watermelon, tea, and milk. Everything was very tasty. Coffee was also available, but it cost extra. The people looking after the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. When we arrived, they were filling the swimming pool after cleaning it and told us it would be ready later that day. Although the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel, it did not quite meet our cleanliness standards because the deeper areas still appeared slightly cloudy. However, many other guests were comfortable using it, and we saw people enjoying the pool every day. The library area was absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately, there was a strong smell of mildew that made it difficult to spend much time there. These were the main drawbacks of our stay. Our room, however, was lovely. It smelled fresh, the bed was firm and very comfortable, and the sheets were clean. The staff emptied the rubbish and replenished our drinking water every day. The bathroom products were high quality, and toothbrushes were provided upon arrival. The room would have been even better if there had been enough towels for everyone staying in it and if the water had been slightly hotter. The hotel is located directly beside the river, with access to a peaceful riverside walk through beautiful gardens. There is also an elevated walkway farther down the road that looked interesting, although we did not have the opportunity to explore it. The river area was especially relaxing, and if I return, I would bring folding chairs and a small folding table so we could sit in the shallow water, relax, and play games. Most attractions and restaurants are approximately a 20-minute drive from the hotel. The receptionist tried to help us with maps and itineraries. Unfortunately, even after attempting to find the same hike on three different days, we were unable to locate the trailhead. It seemed that even local residents were not very familiar with the exact route. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is that it is pet-friendly and does not charge an additional pet fee, which was an important reason we chose it. The gentleman at reception also helped us secure a dinner reservation at Naked Ranch, where we had a wonderful evening. Moganshan is a beautiful destination, and overall, this hotel provided a comfortable stay. There is certainly some room for improvement, but I would return because I slept incredibly well and appreciated the warm, helpful service. Thank you again to the staff for all their assistance.

I had an amazing stay at Yunhe Meet B&B. The Minsu is located in the village not far from the scenic spot ticket office. The owners are a lovely couple and their son, they are very caring and communication was not a problem. We used wechat and phone translate to take with the son and ladyboss. They offered me welcome snacks and more snacks after my hike. Breakfast was very very generous and freshly prepared for local dishes with local ingredients. I had a room with 2 single beds which are quite large soit didn’t feel like a single bed, recommended for a solo traveler if the queen bed isn’t available. Water was warm and shower had good pressure. Everything is very clean. Auntie took me to the park entrance with her electric mini truck to help me catch the morning bus. They also recommended some small hikes around the village and help me to find the return bus to Lishui. Thank you for the great stay ! Wish you the best !

An unforgettable family adventure — made special by incredible hospitality Our stay at Lost Lodge was truly unforgettable. The resort itself is absolutely stunning — a magical woodland retreat with a mystical, fairytale atmosphere. It is especially beautiful at dusk when all the lights come on and the whole place feels like something from a storybook. What really made our stay exceptional was the amazing service. The staff worked so hard to make us feel welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout our visit. They were incredibly warm, friendly, and thoughtful, always going above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They brought us fresh fruit, helped us with deliveries when we had a language barrier, showed us around the resort, and even brought gifts for our children! The butler service was a fantastic addition and made our trip so smooth. Having someone always available to answer questions, help organise things, or offer advice made travelling with children so much easier and more relaxing. The resort has so much for families. Our youngest son loved visiting the chickens every day, and the water park was a huge hit. Our eldest loved the high ropes adventure playground, and both boys had so much fun exploring the resort on the golf buggies. The fairytale playgrounds and beautiful natural surroundings made it feel like a real adventure. One of the highlights of our stay was the hike to Dongming Temple. The views were beautiful, but the most memorable part was being invited inside to drink Chinese tea with the monks. It was a truly unique and unforgettable cultural experience. The local area was also wonderful. We had dinner in Anji at Xiaoyu Changyuyue Restaurant and it was incredible — delicious flavours, beautiful food, and such warm hospitality. Lost Lodge gave us the perfect family adventure, but what made it truly special was the kindness, generosity, and warmth of the staff and the local community. We leave with amazing memories and are already planning our return. We would highly recommend this magical place to other families looking for a unique experience.

In a nutshell, suitable mostly if you have no other options (or everything that’s affordable is all taken for the night). For me, what struck me the most (or shall I say not surprisingly, but still remarkably true) was the fact that two different staff members of the hotel (aka the two receptionists that did both shifts during my stay) did not speak a word of English! Like, LITERALLY not 1!!! And I know, I know “This is China” and “What do you expect in a 3rd tier city” but still, guys, it’s the 2026 goddammit, not 2006! Like, the city where the hotel is located is virtually the world’s capital of the home appliances trade!!! There are enough foreigners who travel and even reside in the city for every self respecting hotel manager to know better they they must hire an English speaking staff that would (very likely) have some foreign guests too. One more time: no one is expecting a native English speaking level or some PhD academic skills and capabilities, but at least BASIC English skills competency should be a MUST in any developed country, especially China. Brushing it aside, the hotel was OKish (considering the price range). It’s a pain in the ass to check in as a foreigner (it literally too half an hour, being questioned multiple times the most bizarre questions such as “Where are you from?” or “What brings you to YiWu: travel or studying”, “What’s your phone number” (considering the guy had my passport in his hand and I made the reservation online where virtually ALL this information was widely available). Had to take a picture of me twice (mind you, I actually reside in the same city!!!). I just had to move out of my condo for a short while due to construction work taking place there. Anyway, room amenities are ok and had no other hiccups than that. Mind you, you need to deposit/transfer 100 yuan as a “security deposit” which is refundable via WeChat/AliPay transfer upon checking out.
