Our definite stay when visiting family in Milton Keynes. Location is not in walking distance of shops or anything so a car is necessary but everything else is perfect. Clean, nice rooms, english breakfast good, nice atmosphere, friendly reception staff.
Old fashioned Travelodge but kept clean, tidy and Well maintained. Easy access to everywhere within 5 minutes, including Ikea, MK stadium, shopping etc. Located next to a great steakhouse, Miller and Carter. Great value hotel with free parking.
We booked us into this hotel as we are visiting friends who live near the area.
The room is of decent size. The bed, although a bit softer than anticipated, was surprisingly comfy. We had a good sleep. The room had everything we needed. The toiletries were of good quality. The breakfast was pretty good, with a good variety to suit everyone's taste.
The hotel is on the MK Dons stadium. Walking on the corridor from the lift to the room, one can the stadium. In the evening the pitch was lit up, which brought a very nice view. It is also right next to a big shopping centre with many restaurants, although we did not use any. The room was very sound proof. We did not hear a thing in the room.
I liked it when the reception offered a cookie during check-in. The 2 free-of-charge bottles of water in the room also added a welcoming touch.
At just under £70 a night for my wife and me, I think the stay offered a great value for the money.
If I have to mention one negative point, then I would choose the distance of our room to the lift. We felt it was walking in an airport to the gate.
Staff were lovely. Room in the external wing downstairs was a bit noisy at night as there was an insomniac above me and every movement was audible to me as I’m a light sleeper. I couldn’t get the shower on a temp less than hades the next morning but was kindly shown to one if the deluxe rooms inside. These were supper. Completely quiet and a much better size.
