The one positive of the hotel is it's location, right off the Market Square, however, since Świdnica is totally walkable (10 minutes to the Church of Peace, etc) and since all the establishments, except for one, on the Market Square roll up by 10:00PM on a Saturday night, there is no added value to the location. We were a group of 9 travelling to the Bach Festival - and this is a consensus opinion of all of us. Staff does not smile or greet at any time. This is not a language issue, as our entire group was bilingual. Further, we are all frequent travellers and even in Asia, where the hotel maids or kitchen staff don't speak English, they will smile and say the local equivalent of 'hello'. Not here. In the breakfast room you are expected to clean your dishes up after yourself. The selection of foodstuffs is totally basic, bread is a failure as is the coffee. If the coffee machine lacks milk or the grounds need to be removed, you will have to wait until the kitchen staff decides to leave their lair and come out and check. There will be no aknowledgement that you needed to wait, i.e. ”sorry, I didn't realize the machine stopped functioning”. There is no restaurant. There is no water in the room (imagine waking at 02:00 and being thirsty). There is no A/C and I doubt the tiny fan would do much. As mentioned the clothes closet is IKEA and there are no drawers to place your belongings into. The one (and only one) outlet in the room is hidden behind a table which you will need to move to access the outlet to charge your phone or laptop. As for the bathroom - how do I count the ways.... There is no bathmat. The soap for the shower is a single serving (imagine a ketchup container from a takeout) of a soap/shampoo. What happens if you want to take two showers? No conditioner or body lotion. The shower stall is totally inaccessible to anyone with mobility issues as the entry is 20 inches (narrow) and one needs to raise one's foot 20 inches off the ground. Similarly, the elevator is so small (both size and entry) that there is NO possibility for an individual with a walker to enter (best not speak about wheelchair bound individuals). If you locate the parking (as mentioned in another review it is hard to locate) the passage from the parking lot to the hotel reception desk involves 4 steps up, a narrow platform and three steps down, with no handrail. Again, individuals with mobility issues would have a problem maneuvering this. There is no one avaialable to help with luggage if an individual needs or wishes it. The bed has a mattress set inside a wide frame, and set very close to the floor. Again, for individuals with mobility issues, a major problem. Members of our group also noted that the mattresses were truly uncomfortable and led to back pain (and this in a 32 year old!!!). If I were ranking this establishment for travellers with mobility issues, I would give it a negative rating. There are other hotels in the are

We stayed here a few nights and enjoyed it thoroughly. We discovered it last year when we went to the restaurant and I liked it so much I wanted to stay in the hotel. The food in the restaurant for dinner was great and breakfast was lovely. The superior room we had was just ok (sorry guys) it had a balcony but never used it. The few members of staff we bumped into were so friendly too. The place is so chilled. Its just so relaxed so see the horses and alpacas. I would recommend 100% ... We are hoping to get married there!

The hotel is almost perfect; the room was spacious, furnished tastefully but not overdecorated. The hotel grounds would be to everyone's liking as well as the delicious breakfast. However, allowing for its price, a mini-fridge and AC would not be something extraordinary to ask for - and these are the two reasons for which I am not rating it with a top five.
