ผผู้เข้าพักA very cosy homestay in the heart of the very charming Datong old town. There's underground parking that goes straight to the doorstep of the B&B which is a lifesaver during winter. Absolutely loved the tasteful design and the little artistic trinkets placed all around the house. There's also a free laundry service which was very much appreciated. Master of the house is a very friendly gentleman who gave us great tips especially on the hidden gems restaurants (ask him about the awesome copper hotpot outside the city beside President Hotel). It's walking distance to the food and nightspot street across the road, and is also beside the Southern City Wall as well as the (in my opinion criminally underrated) Shanhua Temple 善化寺 which is quiet, dignified and zen, housing some of the oldest Liao and Jin Dynasty architecture and sculptures.

SShalinda WThis homestay (B&B) was Amazing! Coming from the US, and not being able to speak Chinese, we just planned to not take advantage of any hotel transportation. This hotel reached out to us via chat on Trip and coordinated pick-up a couple days prior, allowing us to use translation apps. Our train arrived several hours before scheduled check-in for the hotel, wasn’t an issue at all. Check-in was quick and we received some local goodies as well as a fruit basket. Amenities for the room are amazing, room itself is fully electronic and state of the art. The blow dryer was Dyson! We planned to walk to lunch, they kindly gave us a free ride. Breakfast was great as well with some local specialities (all fresh, not a buffet). This homestay was so welcoming and amazing, it made us sad we had only planned one night in Datong!

Our kids were thrilled, and we were able to relax knowing they were happily playing nearby. The setup was perfect for our family, allowing us to rest while still keeping an eye on the little ones. Liu, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. She went above and beyond to assist us, even arranging a smooth transfer to the train station when we checked out. The hotel itself was excellent: modern, clean, and very comfortable. Its central location made it easy for us to explore the city without hassle. We highly recommend this place for families looking for convenience, comfort, and outstanding hospitality!

PPSOCWe were warmly greeted by friendly staff upon arrival, making us feel welcome right away. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the team went the extra mile to help us register on their app as we are foreigners, ensuring we could easily access Wi-Fi and contact them if needed. We had called ahead to request a humidifier and air purifier, and were pleased to find them already prepared in our room when we checked in. The room itself was spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The shower had excellent water pressure, and the inclusion of an electric toilet with a heated seat was a thoughtful touch, especially during the winter season. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered was genuinely helpful and sincere in their service, always making sure we were well taken care of. We initially planned to stay from 6/12/24 to 8/12/24 but felt so at home that we decided to extend our stay for an additional two days. A big thank you to the team at Mecure Hotel for their exceptional service and attention to detail. Me and my Husband had agreed this is best hotel in our 17 days China trip. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning in the future. Great job!

ผผู้เข้าพักI went with my sister. To a place that is remote and strange to us. We did not expect much but we received lots of warm memories. From the airport pick up to arriving. They offered afternoon tea once we arrived hotel as it was very cold. We were taken care of well. The following days were nice breakfast, warm regards, constant reminders to wear more as it is cold. When the food rider could not find the hotel, the boss went out to find the food rider, asking me to stay back as it is cold outside. The constant reminders felt home and warmth, genuinely care for their guests. Amazing and soul enriching trip at this place. They offered more than they advertised - depending on the situations, which is beyond my expectation. Finally they sent us off to the railway station, this is not in the package but they only said they had the car, they can bring us there, like family sending off their guests. Find a place like this, rest for a few days, the world feels warmer, the soul feels grateful.

KKatrin SauthoffMy husband and I are a couple from Germany. We booked two nights there, and our decision was absolutely the right one. From the initial contact (via the WeChat app, which is essential for your entire trip to China) to our departure, everything was perfect. We were picked up from the train station by car and taken to the hotel free of charge. This is especially good for Western tourists who don't speak Chinese. The first problem would have been explaining to the taxi where we wanted to go. The lobby and rooms are very beautiful, stylish, and equipped with the highest technology. Most of the guest rooms face the inner courtyard, so you can sleep very quietly and comfortably. The beds are very large and comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent. It's located on the northern edge of the Ancient City of Datong, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist attractions and the colorful and lively old town. So you can enjoy it without being disturbed by noise. I would especially like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. Every request was fulfilled. There's even the option to use a washing machine in the basement of the hotel.
