I spent nearly a week at Datong Milan/Magnolia Hotel (Dai Residence branch) and it was a very pleasant and enjoyable stay Location: - Nestled a quieter part of the ancient city, that provided a peaceful retreat after each day of exploring. - 10 minutes to some of the attractions of the old town - 15-20 minute walk to the popular restaurants and more attractions - 30 minute walk to Huayan Temple and its nearby street markets. I'm always happy to walk but if needed, I could always use DiDi to take me around. Falling asleep without street noise is something I like. There is a bit of building work going nearby, which is happening all over Datong Ancient City, but nothing too major. Nearby is the Ancient City's wall, but walk past that and you can see the locals dance in the morning in the park or walk along the canal/moat in the evening. Room: The room was surprisingly spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax, a welcome change from cramped city accommodations. The staircase is a bit narrow, so those with lots of big luggage might struggle (no lift) Importantly, it was very clean and well equipped. I especially liked the Chinese tea ceremony set! Service: - Despite a noticeable language barrier, everyone went above and beyond with smiles, helpful gestures, and clear efforts to communicate. - Especially the manager, who told me about local food to try, things to do and asked if I needed anything. She noticed that I was bringing back leftovers from the restaurant, and bottled drinks from the shops, and said I could use the fridge. - I can't speak Chinese so when the delivery driver came to drop off my order, the staff will take it from the reception and bring it to me. - Unfortunately, breakfast isn't available here - Drinking water topped up. Humidifier and mosquito repellent were provided when needed. I will not hesitate to book here again on my next visit and I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking comfort and genuine warmth in Datong!

โรงแรมตั้งอยู่ในทำเลที่ดีมาก ใกล้กับเมืองโบราณมาก และมีร้านซาลาเปาอยู่ชั้นล่าง ทำให้การทานอาหารเช้าสะดวกสบาย พนักงานต้อนรับสาวที่แผนกต้อนรับให้ความช่วยเหลือดีมาก ฉันจะเลือกโรงแรมนี้อีกครั้งแน่นอนเมื่อมาเที่ยวต้าถงครั้งหน้า!

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good. Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around. What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge! If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

โรงแรมสะอาด ถูกหลักอนามัย และคุณสามารถเก็บสัมภาระได้ฟรี ห้องมีพื้นที่กว้างขวาง มีกระจกและตู้เสื้อผ้าขนาดใหญ่ มีผ้าห่มในตู้เสื้อผ้า และโซฟายาวที่สามารถนอนได้คนเดียว อยู่ใกล้กับเมืองโบราณต้าถง คุณสามารถเห็นหอกลองและกําแพงเกาลูนได้ด้วยการเดินเท้า

The location is just ok, i haven't done so much turism there but ia a bit far from the center, the capsule is very good and they clean everything everyday. There's no stuff there so I had to ask for help to a guy just walking through the street to get in as I needed a code and they weren't answering me throw the app, tried to call them but hunged up when I talked in English.. but a part from that everything was good!

Very nice hotel, the staff are so nice and helpful, there are 2 stores right down and a close mall. Bus stations are very close too. The room is comfortable and big. Good wifi. a lot of storage space. The walls and shower not so clean.

我第二天早上要趕去高鐵去五台山，所以就計劃住在南站附近，打了車和師傅交流后才知道南站周邊配套還不是那麼完善，住店遠不如太原站方便實惠，我之前一天住太原站附近的今日商務酒店是真心覺得划算呀，當時打車時我看攜程上也可以訂南站附近的今日商務酒店（後來發現就是個烏龍，是攜程智能推薦的，我還一直納悶怎麼南站附近還是稱為火車站店呢），衹能臨時找地方了，在攜程上看到這家價格不貴的，到店后我是真心覺得滿意，整個酒店環境很好，旁邊是方特歡樂世界，但是淡季很安靜，讓我沒想到的是，還送了我早餐券，而且酒店安排車送到南站，省去了清早自己打不到車或步行過去的問題，唯一美中不足的是房間有點小，對於居住麪積要求比較高的人那估計就不會合意了，但是於我而言，價格實惠，我能接受，乾淨整潔，環境好，麪積小點可以接受，所以對我自己來說，我是完全滿意的！

เวลาเดินทางที่ตั้งจะอยู่ด้านในประตูกำแพงเมืองทางใต้เป็นโรงแรมที่ดีที่สุดที่ฉันเคยพักมา ไม่มีใครเลย มีเพียงคนเดียวที่ฉันไม่อยากออกไป เจ้านายเป็นคนดี ซื่อสัตย์ เป็นมิตรและใจดีมาก ห้องพักใหญ่พอ สะอาด และอบอุ่น ห้องน้ำและน้ำอาบมีขนาดใหญ่และร้อน ห้องพักสะอาดมาก นอนได้จนถึงรุ่งสาง ลานภายในของโรงแรมสวยงามและสะดวกสบายมากจนเด็กๆ ไม่อยากออกไปเล่นอีกต่อไป พวกเขาวิ่งเล่นในลานบ้านทุกวัน การดื่มไวน์สักแก้วในตอนเย็นจะเป็นประสบการณ์ที่มีความสุขมาก! เจ้านายอบอุ่นและเป็นกันเองมากซึ่งหายากมาก! ฉันหวังว่าฉันจะมีโอกาสมาต้าถงอีกครั้งและฉันจะกลับมาที่ร้านนี้อีกแน่นอน!

Ok so here is my Honest review of this brand new hotel in Datong. I understand this is a brand new hotel so I hope this could help as a honest review. -Staff are helpful even for foreigners. They do their best to accommodate your questions and are very friendly. -Rooms are clean with all the necessary amenities. -Rooms dont smell like cigarettes/smoke unlike gmost other hotels. -Rooms are fairly spacious. -location is good, its still a fair 15-20min walk to alot of the sights such as the wall or the drama play but it is close to the fortress wall down south. -WIFI is very good, great signal. Things that i think need working on - The hotel is a little bit difficult to find, i dont recall seeing a sign, maybe becsuse it is brand new. I had to go into a neighbouring hotel to ask if it was the correct one and they helped me call this hotel and actually guided me here. - Although it says I have a courtyard window it is actually facing inside (as the rooms are undeeground) and the window is facing the hall way lol. - my biggest complaint is the lack of toilet roll, i was given one roll (which is fine) but the next day they didnt replenish it resulting in me running out...luckily I always keep tissue with me (A must in china for the public toilets) - As its basement level its hard to pick up reception on your phone. Overall, value for money I think is great for the location and the cleanliness. A few things to work on but its understandable for a new business.
