This is a hotel in a residential area of Paris about half an hour walk from the Eiffel Tower. This is a good part of town to find grocers open late and banks with ATM's (surprisingly not so easy to find in Central Paris). I was only there one night so I didn't try to use the metro but I don't think there was a station very close to the hotel. Ubers were easy to get. The hotel ticks off the things you expect: my penthouse suite 600 was a beautifully decorated suite where everything was easy to use and worked well. There was a large terrace with a jacuzzi and a great view of the Eiffel Tower. There were some lemon financiers on arrival; i figured they might have put a few more treats out there considering what they charged for the room, but there was a bottle of perfume and some chocolates to take home at departure. You could walk down the hall to a stairway to reach the roof which had chickens and furniture and more rooftop views. There is a pool, large gym and restaurant. What more could you want? Well, actually it was the vibe and the people that made me give this place a review one cut below excellent. Not that people weren't friendly, but for a Western tourist from the USA, this is a place with a distinctly North African Arab feeling and few of the people here spoke English. You have these burly security guards around, the gym looks pretty tough and when you ask for stuff such as a piece of gym equipment, people don't understand what you are asking for. For instance, I asked two managers for a foam roller in the gym (and demonstrated what they were), and they said they didn't have any. Later I found a closet with 10 of them inside. In the restaurant, if you don't get up and ask for a person to take or bring your order, you might sit there a long while. I had to beg several times to get my breakfast before running out to the airport. The food was pretty good, by the way. The gym is open till 11 and the pool is open 24/7. There is a bathing suit spinner. The pool is an excellent heated lap pool and there are items such as flippers around. The elevators are a bit slow and that was bothersome. There are no real attractions nearby for a tourist to visit so this is not an ideal location for a tourist. I stayed here because i thought it would be cool to have a rooftop terrace for a night in Paris overlooking the Eiffel. I also liked having a hotel with a great health club. But I'd rather have more Western-looking tourists like myself around me at a hotel with staff that spoke English (aside from the receptionist and hotel operator), and I just didn't feel all that comfortable at this place. If you want to be in a place where you feel that you are in Paris and not in a tourist hotel, this hotel is great. But I”m not a local and don't really want to mix with them when I'm just passing through. It's really a matter of taste. There are many good things about this hotel, but firstly I must say that the hotel staff are super friendly and the two guys on reception during our stay went above and beyond, in offering advice and suggestions during our stay, they were exceptional. The hotel itself is in a great spot, a quieter neighbourhood, but feels very safe and friendly. The metro station within yards gives great access to the rest of Paris and you soon get used to jumping on and off. Lots of great traditional french cafes, a fantastic Italians and various supermarkets and shops all within yards of the hotel. Anyone like us travelling with teenagers, go for the family room, it’s ideal with a bathroom but two completely seperate bedrooms (no need to make do with pull out beds). Being a little out of centre I believe gave a better experience of Paris, with all the major attractions being only a short journey away and easily accessible. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough.

We did a last minute trip to Paris at the end of May. The city was full with tourists and fans for the Champions League Final and the French Open, so finding decent accommodation at the right price proved to be a challenge. We found a good deal on the Ibis website for the Ibis 15, which included breakfast, so this hotel worked out well for what we needed. This small hotel is located in the 15th Arrondissement, which is south of the city (if you think of Paris as a clock, this would be between 6-7). In terms of tourist areas, it's closest to the Eiffel Tower and Champs de Mar. This walkable neighbourhood is more on the residential side, but is full of boutiques, cafés, bakeries, and restaurants. We preferred this as it was a bit quieter, and safer than some other areas. There are two Metro stations within walking distance (Boucicat and Convention), but you can also get the bus, Ubers, taxis, and scooters nearby. TIPS: *Check the Ibis website directly for good deals. *Get familiar with the Metro. You can get a day pass for the whole system, including buses and trains, for €7, which is a great value. The metro can get you to all of the tourist stops and destinations quickly. The staff in the stations are very helpful, so be sure to ask if you need help. P.S. Be mindful of your valuables - there are a lot of pickpockets working the transit systems. *Have a look around this neighbourhood. We found all of the amenities and services we needed for our trip, including grocery stores, banks, a laundry, local boulangeries/cafés, etc. within walking distance. You'll find a variety of cuisines in the area, including the local restaurant on the corner that makes the the yummiest Vietnamese spring rolls, or the charming and hip Italian restaurant a couple of blocks away, where the staff are friendly and the food and drinks are delicious. The hotel is older, but it's looks to have been recently renovated. The lobby is small and there is only one small elevator, which will fit (maybe) two adults and two carry on suitcases. If you're not in a rush (we weren't), it's totally fine, but this may be important for travellers who need assistance. We found the staff to be very polite and helpful. Check-in was a bit slow as there was only one person at the front desk, but be patient and they will help. We had a double room, which was on the smaller side (hey, it's Europe!), but it was clean and functional and worked for what we needed. We were travelling light, so we could comfortably store our luggage, but if you need more room, ask for the biggest room you can get. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a bit flat, so ask the front desk if you can have extra. The bathroom was a good size and very clean, but the shower in our room was a tiny box. If you are bendy and flexible, have fun manoeuvring in there! Larger people, this one isn't for you! The water pressure from the shower head is very good, and the hot water is plenty, but beware of the hot side of

A wonderful hotel, so many lovely touches from immaculate rooms, fairy lights in the garden, the gorgeous toiletries, the unique decor, comfy beds, very quiet room (we were in a room in the first floor overlooking the courtyard garden) and welcoming staff. We only stayed 1 night but wished we were there for longer. It's a short walk from Javel metro station and feels like a safe area, we returned to the hotel around midnight. Sunday morning we walked along the Seine past lots of houseboats and people running, it took less than half an hour to walk to the Eiffel Tower. Would highly recommend and would love to return.
