JJulz d’traveller*The staff are nice to accomodate us.
*The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car).
*The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee).
*The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area. They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city.
*Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees.
*The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers, toothbrush, hair dryer, kettle and 2 bottle of water.
*Last picture was epic:)
ผผู้เข้าพักI enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu.
There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies.
My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily.
The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing.
I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.
AAlisiWe had a great stay at this hot spring hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good amenities and a cozy bed. The hotel is about an hour’s drive from the famous Hanging Temple, and there’s a bus running between the Travelers Center and the hotel — just make sure to check the departure time with the front desk.
The breakfast was nice, mainly Chinese-style dishes, and the variety was satisfying. The hot spring area isn’t the most impressive I’ve visited, but it was still wonderful to soak in a warm tub after a long day of hiking. Overall, a relaxing and comfortable stay — definitely a good choice if you’re exploring the area.
