"A lovely hotel in a very accessible area. We came to the hotel from the ferry port of Marseille, only a few minutes drive away and left the hotel the next morning needing the A7 Road which was very close by.
Reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are super clean with very functional bathroom including a bath tub.
The free continental breakfast buffet from 7am is a great bonus with a nice few options and coffee.
Underground parking was available at €15 per night.
I highly recommend Toyoko Inn Marseille."

"J'ai beaucoup aimé notre séjour dans cet appartement hôtel à Marseille.La chambre était spacieuse propre magnifique et très confortable.Le personnel était accueillant et bienveillant et l'endroit en lui-même est vraiment agréable. franchement je recommande vivement cet appart hôtel à toute personne qui souhaite séjourner. pour ma part je retournerai sans hésiter lors de notre prochain voyage à Marseille.👍👍👍♥️"

"Bonjour, je suis arrivé à l’hôtel il voulait me refaire repayer alors que j’avais tout payé donc je lui ai fait regarder ma réservation et comme quoi tout était bien payé donc ça c’est pas normal ensuite ce que j’ai pas aimé c’est que sur le site y avait bien marqué qu’il y avait une bagagerie pour laisser nos bagages à l’hôtel, et finalement ils disent qu’il y en a pas donc c’est un peu bizarre quand même parce que ça c’est bien d’avoir une bagagerie pour laisser ses bagages le dernier jour quoi avant de repartir"

"Very average for the price, cleanliness of the common areas limit...
Very old room and bathroom without equipment (for my part without shower curtain..)
I didn't know before arriving but the parking lot must be booked in advance (15€/d) otherwise impossible to put your car and the streets around meh meh
The advantage would be the location... there is the Joliette metro at 50m"

"Very run down property. The rooms not clean at all. The property needs to do better at maintaining the rooms and hallways. The only good thing about this place is the front desk staff. They were 5 stars!! They are responsive and the only reason I would give this property a 3 stars instead of 1. The property does look worse in real life than the pictures on line. The property is 1.5 blocks down the street from main train station- positive. Close to Promenade- positive. I felt safe in neighborhood but if you are not used to urban setting it may be a problem."

ผผู้เข้าพักWe stayed in Sofitel Marseille for 3 nights in the summer of 2023.
The hotel is located right on the periphery of the old port of Marseille where all the shops and restaurants are located. It takes about a 15-minute walk to get from the hotel all the way to the centre of the old port so the hotel is fairly insulated from the hustle and bustle of the old port. The exterior of the hotel looks a bit dated but the interiors feel very fresh, clean and bright.
We upgraded our room to a deluxe room facing the old port at the reception and we thought it was worth it. We never tired of waking up to a view of the old port with a clear blue sky. The room itself was quite clean and spacious. There was enough room to open up two luggages and still move around comfortably. There is also a turn down service where the staff will put out the bedroom slippers and play some nice Jazz music when you come back.
The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. The only complaint we had was that the air conditioning would turn off in the middle of the night. The air conditioning control did not seem to work and it seems like the air conditioning is centrally controlled so the in-room controls did nothing. I could not sleep the first night as it was too warm and stuffy so we asked for a ventilateur (fan) the next day. That helped us to sleep better. Obviously, if you are planning to stay during the winter months then the heat at night should not be an issue.
The staff at the reception were always pleasant, warm, friendly and polite. We were upsold the room with a view when we checked in so that should say something about how friendly the staff were. It was EUR70 per night for the room with a view and it included overnight parking (EUR27 per night) so it was really only about EUR50 extra per night. The valet and the concierge were all very helpful and nice and they all speak English well enough.
If you intend to park here, do note that the roads within the hotel property can be quite narrow and the parking lots are quite narrow as well. It may be worthwhile getting the valet to help you park your car at least for the first day because driving from the car rental agencies at the Marseille train station to the hotel was stressful enough for us.
We paid around EUR300 - 350 a night but we thought it was worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Very clean and modern style rooms with large walk in shower, memory foam bed made for comfortable sleeping and the bed being a full side instead of two singles pushed together was a bonus compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The tv had option to connect Netflix which we found to fit the style of the room.
The reception team were friendly and very helpful.
The lobby was unique and different, plenty space to lounge with an array of different chairs/ couches to enjoy while you wait with lots of available charging ports nearby too.
There was a pool area with a sauna and hammam, this was an additional €10pp to use for an hour but very nice facilities to use.
We stayed in the panoramic sea view room and it was worth the view however there was construction so we couldn’t open the window or have the curtains back to enjoy the view properly.
However if we return we would book again and would recommend to stay here 😊

We had a double floor mezzanine family room. Great room with comfy beds, clean, good amenities and nice bathroom, fridge, coffee machine etc so everything you need. There are two big downsides to this hotel that are out of their control. The old big French doors / windows look great but are not good at all for sound. We were on the 5th floor and heard cars, sirens, mopeds and people until the early hours and this does impact sleep. The second thing is the area, not a pleasant place at night. Lots of
Homeless, rough sleepers and not a welcoming place. For us, simply going there to sleep and be comfortable and have a nice room it was good and we’d stay again, but it is expensive when you consider the area and noise at night vs some other better located hotels in Marseille

YYalaUpside:
The bed was very confortable and the shits were soft.
The kitchen amenities made my stay even more convenient.
There are a few kitchen utensils
There's a metro station near by
There are shower gel and towels
Downside:
The hitter was barely working
The deposit had to be made through card, no cash.
Don't expect to get your deposit back the same day as different banks have different policies, the transfer may be delayed a few days from what I understood.
There's no toothpaste or toothbrushes

VVivian KempFirst time in Marseille. Fine to have stayed at this apartment but probably won't again.
I had to chase for the access instructions myself. Also annoying to have to go pick up the keys from Ibis (collection itself was quick), which is a 9-minute walk to the apartment. The fob worked but the 2 keys attached did not open any doors. Email instructions, while clear, were not entirely accurate - referring to going right when in fact I needed to find the apartment on the left.
Bit of drama one morning as I forgot my phone inside the apartment and had locked myself out. Had keys on me but the keys couldn't actually open the door, and of course I couldn't remember the super-secure 9-digit digital code! Only eventually managed to get in but asking a neighbour who thankfully was able to call the apartment manager. They should have given me working manual keys but never did.
Apartment itself was very clean. Lots of linen. Comfortable bedding in the bedroom as well as hidden under the sofa bed. Basic toiletries included. Washing machine worked. Heating was plenty sufficient. No dishwasher but not an issue as I did not cook much. (2 induction hob rings right against the wall which I didn't think was conducive to cooking anything more than the super basic, but fine for me this trip.)
Overall it was okay. Location super convenient, but I'd prefer somewhere quieter, where people and traffic noise wouldn't be so loud and go on after hours. Also somewhere without people relieving themselves next to large bins right outside the building's front door. Somewhere more pleasant...
