I was so impressed by this hotel. It is best to go all-inclusive. The dive Shop on site is a paddy five star and really good. The instructors and dive master is very experienced and the boats good quality.
They were full so put us in twin smoking room where we had booked king-size double non-smoking and they upgraded us to a suite.
The food was excellent the variety and quality very good and the staff excellent, very attentive. And everybody was happy. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel is very good for the price you pay. I just want to mention that if you're a foodie this might not be the best place for you. All the show-cooking tasted good because it was just made. The food on the platters however was often cold which is quite unfortunate. I went two times and the second time I immediately wondered why I had actually gone back. I think I forgot the little negative things form the first trip. The also try to sell u something from the wellness center and camel rides. I did ride a camel and it was fun but it was pretty annoying to have to reject them every time. So for a budget holiday this is great but don't expect the same experience as for example Riu or whatever
it's a fabulous staying there, the reception manager a gentle man received me well, he said I hoped you would come again, this is your family stay, we will wait you again, it's a life.time memory. my stay there there was only one Chinese family in the whole hotel, I felt so honored. it's a magic and gorgeous country and hotel. thanks! if chances, I would visit there

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted.
The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes.
We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along.
There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus).
The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet).
Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

AAaronI stayed at this hotel for 6 nights for my partner’s birthday. From the time I got there the hotel was very helpful with giving us a upgraded room and then going further to decorate the room/bed with heart pillows and pillow doves. They also provided a birthday cake twice on the day we arrived and on her birthday which we couldn’t be anymore thank you. I want to give a big shoutout to Mohammed the room cleaner, everyday was a surprise coming back into the bedroom he would decorate the room/bed with towels making different animals etc. Food buffet was really nice also had ice cream. ( I would say the hotel should make it so guest can get scoops for ice cream during the day not only for dinner) you get ice cream during the day but it’s ice cream lollipops etc. animation team was really good always involving everyone, want to say a shoutout to all the animation team especially mo salah, high energy and kept everyone very entertained. The beach is sandy! The photos don’t do it justice as the photos I saw online shows it to be stone beach with a bit of sand. The WiFi is good for a hotel which can be used on the beach. We was able to get a sun bed everyday by the many pools and beach. Nothing to fault this hotel was really amazing! (That’s coming from someone who only stays at high quality hotels).
ผผู้เข้าพักAs a guest who recently stayed at the Pickalbatros Palace Resort with my family, I feel compelled to delve deeper into the profound disappointment we experienced during our visit. Despite considering myself to be quite adaptable and understanding, the shortcomings of this resort were so glaring that they eclipsed even the most basic expectations. Opting for the Pickalbatros Palace Resort, renowned for its esteemed service and family-friendly atmosphere, I anticipated a memorable stay that catered to the needs of both adults and children alike. However, from the onset, it became evident that our expectations were far from being met. Let's address the coffee situation, which may seem trivial but underscored a broader issue of attentiveness to guest needs. The abrupt termination of coffee service at 10 am each morning was not just inconvenient; it was a logistical nightmare, particularly for parents with young children in tow. Having to trek to either the reception or beach bar post-breakfast for a simple cup was an unnecessary hassle. While the introduction of instant coffee near the kids club following my complaint was a step in the right direction, the fact that it was only available until 5 pm sharp, coinciding with the closure of key facilities, felt like a half-hearted attempt to rectify the situation. This limited timeframe for coffee availability highlighted a disconnect between the resort's promises of excellence and the actual guest experience, leaving many feeling underserved and overlooked. Moving beyond the caffeine conundrum, the lackluster offerings at the kids' club were particularly disheartening. Despite the presence of children's slides in the pool area, the dearth of engaging activities left our young ones bored and restless, especially on inclement weather days. The absence of staple food options like chicken nuggets or fish fingers further compounded the challenge of keeping children well-fed and content throughout the day, leaving many parents scrambling to find suitable alternatives. Adding insult to injury was the distressing incident involving discolored water in the bathroom, which resulted in irreversible damage to one of our garments. The sight of orange water running down the pipes not only raised concerns about hygiene but also cast doubts on the overall maintenance standards of the resort. Such issues should never be overlooked, as they directly impact the comfort and satisfaction of guests. Despite these disappointments, it's only fair to acknowledge some redeeming qualities of our stay. The culinary offerings, albeit repetitive at times, were undeniably delicious, providing a brief respite from our overall dissatisfaction. Additionally, the presence of heated pools offered a semblance of comfort amidst the windy weather, albeit serving as minor consolation amidst our broader grievances. In conclusion, our experience at Pickalbatros Palace Resort fell far short of the glowing reviews that initially en
AAntonio TravelsHighly recommend especially if you are a family with young kids. We went as a group of friends and still enjoyed it, the water park has slides suitable for adult fun and also kids with a special area for kids only. The only negative is that the beach is a bit of q walk away, however there are consistent shuttle buses. The reception team and manager are very polite and helpful, the life guards and water slide guards are all very nice and are there for your safety and happiness. The food was amazing, there is also food all afternoon by the pool. Pools are big and there are more than one with an all adult only pool for pure relaxation. Very safe resort just keep your belongings near to you. I want to give the biggest thanks to the animation team, they are the ones who made this holiday, from day time entertainment to evening shows and night outs, they truly look after you from their hearts wanting you to have a great time in Egypt. Big thanks to Moose, Kariam, Omar and David. I very highly recommend this resort.
