It was very clean, the view was nice and I love to come back because it ticket all the boxes that I want.only thing was to pay for the parking which it should be free
The location of the hostel was great, right in the centre of where you need to be. The staff were nice and helpful. However the hostel standard was not up to the same level as the location and staff. The rooms were moderately clean, we had a massive brown stain on our bedding when we arrived, the showers and toilets had mould and clumps of spiders and spiders webs everywhere. In the corners, on the ceilings, in the actual toilet and shower areas. That being said you get what you pay for, this is one of the cheapest hostels in airlie beach, so you sacrifice some cleanness due to how cheap it is.
We stayed at the Hilton Surfers Paradise for our anniversary and it was also our first time at the Gold Coast. The staff on reception were so bubbly and lovely and kind. Checking in early was no problem and they also sent us a bottle of bubbles to our room. The King Deluxe room was spacious and had a coffee machine, big TV as well as a beautiful balcony and sea view.
The negatives were that there was a strong cleaning smell in our room and the smart tv didn’t connect to the internet. We didn’t really mind either of these though as we were only staying 2 nights. Would also be quite loud if staying on a lower floor but, again, this didn’t bother us as we were fully aware of the location.
The highlight for us was the view, the comfy bed and the really exceptional staff/customer service.
Thank you!
