Hotel is good, clean and good location
Breakfast is very good
But the usd to lkr conversion rate is very bad with respect to airport and nearby banks
Airport pick up or drop service is a rip off. They are charging 2 to 2.5 times for that and don’t use this service (use uber or airport taxi)
My family and I checked in to the Cinnamon Grand of Colombo,Sri Lanka. It is a hotel centrally located near shopping and dining areas. We have always liked the food at the Cinnamon Grand and the little shopping mall, a short, covered walk from the hotel.
Check-in at the Cinnamon Grand is not too complex. The elevators are not as slow as Bangkok or Las Vegas. The hotel rooms have enough room and amenities. Although my wife and I were overcome with a damp and musty smell. Given the age of the hotel and the humidity in Colombo, I can see there is not enough ventilation to air out the hotel rooms.
Hilton Colombo Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The room was modern, spacious, and beautifully designed — with a stunning view of the city and the sea! Everything was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully arranged, making it a perfect environment for both rest and productivity.
The location is ideal for business travelers, with easy access to key areas of Colombo. The service was exceptional — friendly staff, smooth check-in, and quick responses to every request. I also enjoyed the amenities, especially the gym and breakfast spread. This is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I return to Colombo.
My stay at the Galle Face Hotel in Colombo was truly memorable. From the moment I walked in, I felt surrounded by history and elegance. The colonial charm, ocean views, and timeless architecture created a unique atmosphere that few hotels can match. My room was comfortable, beautifully furnished, and opened to the sea breeze—perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean was unforgettable. Watching the sunset by the pool with a drink in hand was the perfect end to each day. A classic, graceful stay.
Not well maintained, the room smelled like wet and mold.
One thing that made us very unhappy was that the curtains wouldn't close completely, so the light would come in in the morning at 6 am.
The steam room was disgusting, with broken floor and mold.
There were alcohol bottles hidden in the spa room, and in the gym cabinets - I LL let you guess who might have been drinking...
Good location, clean room.

MManuri LinaraI recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a wonderful and memorable experience. Although the location is a little far from Colombo, I actually found it to be a positive aspect, as it gave us a chance to relax away from the busy city. After staying here, we continued our journey to Negombo, and the distance worked out just fine for us.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome. A special mention must go to Divni, who was incredibly sweet and attentive. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable, constantly checking if everything was going well and offering help whenever needed. Her warmth and hospitality truly stood out and made a big difference to our experience.
Check-in did take a little longer than expected, and there were some initial issues with the room reservation and meal plan arrangements. However, the staff handled the situation politely and worked to resolve it, which I appreciated.
The food was one of the highlights of our stay. The buffet by the pool was excellent, offering a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The action stations were a nice touch, adding freshness and variety to the meals. Everything I tried was delicious, and I found myself looking forward to each meal.
One of the most unique experiences was the afternoon tea at Kurulu Kele, which felt like stepping into a peaceful rural village. The setting was calm and relaxing, and the ginger tea along with the fish cutlets were simply delightful. Swinging on the onchillawa after so many years brought back childhood memories and added a special charm to the whole experience.
The beach view from the hotel is another highlight. Watching the sunrise and sunset over the ocean was breathtaking. I especially enjoyed spending time outside in the afternoons, just soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoying the natural beauty.
Overall, I truly believe this hotel is worth every penny spent. I loved my time here and will definitely return. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great hospitality, delicious food, and a peaceful getaway.
ผผู้เข้าพักWE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
Despite a very good start which involved a very helpful early check-in for our group of four travelers (two rooms) and lots of friendly smiles from the hotel reception team, unfortunately our stay took a bit of a negative turn owing to some confusion over two additional bookings we had made to extend our stay following a change in our plans. I really find it hard to understand why this simple process caused confusion to the duty manager. The following day, despite clearly explaining that we had made additional bookings to extend our stay, the desk staff were confused and claimed that one of the room bookings was not confirmed. The duty manager was dismissive to us and actually ignored us, (even though he had perfectly good English to communicate with us), preferring to speak through another member of the reception team who was standing right next to him. After a wait of at least 15 minutes, I told him that we were not prepared to wait any longer and that he could let us know once the issue had been resolved. This was clearly an administrative problem between the hotel and Trip.com which soured our stay. The duty manager was unprofessional and discourteous towards his guests.
Our experience left us unwilling to use any of the hotel facilities other than the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff team exceptional in their service and friendliness. We did use the lounge bar on one occasion and again, found the staff to be friendly and helpful - special mention to Jerushan, with whom we enjoyed a great conversation. He is a credit to the staff team. Perhaps given his people skills, he should be made a manager?!
Other than the reception area, the hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. In our room, a light switch cover fell off, some bulbs were not working and the room was dirty - a build up of dust in the corners and on the wardrobe louvres which quite obviously suggested the rooms were only being given a superficial clean.
As said, we do not recommend this hotel and we will not stay here again. We expect far from a Ramada branded establishment.

MMalaka I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heritence and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The welcome we received upon arrival was unparalleled compared to any other hotel I've stayed at. The staff greeted us warmly and went out of their way to ensure we felt at home immediately.
The service at the pool bar was outstanding. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made excellent cocktails. The pool itself was pristine and provided a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating and beautiful surroundings.
To our delight, we were offered a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The upgraded room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views.
Throughout our stay, we encountered staff who were not only polite but also highly professional. They were always ready to assist with any request and did so with a smile, making us feel truly valued as guests.
The location of the hotel is another highlight. It's conveniently close to the airport, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. Additionally, it's situated near a beautiful beach, allowing us to enjoy the sun and sea within minutes of leaving our room.
Overall, our experience at Heritance was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious stay. We will certainly be returning in the future!
