But l would love to go again

PP40ULWThe hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.

TThe EvansiesWe stayed over for a night - late check in and out. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We have 2 children, a 4 years old and a 5 months old. We arrived quite late and so were the last table in the restaurant for dinner as well as the last to join the breakfast. However, the staff made sure we have all we needed and tried their best to help us. Impressive service and a pleasant stay. We will definitely come back to this hotel in the next visit to Lancaster.

Was a good stay but I wouldn’t say it wowed me and felt staff could’ve been more attentive. Also lack of room service, evening snacks, fridge, tv channels, alternative pillows etc.
also hotel said they didn’t receive my special requests I’ve added to the trip booking which meant the birthday we were celebrating was overlooked.
