I don't miss visiting museums and libraries in every city I visit in Australia, as in Sydney. The New South Wales State Library is located in a busy downtown area and is free to visit the Royal Botanical Garden. There are many kinds of books, from adults to children can find a variety of reading. The exterior building of the library is atmospheric. You can see rows of desks and chairs in the reading area through the bright and tall floor windows as you pass by.
Located on the edge of Hyde Park in New South Wales, the library has some precious books in its collection since the British colonies, as well as modern and contemporary books. It is more open to the outside world than we are. Even those of us who come from abroad can access books only by means of passports. It's electronic, of course.
