St Kilda Pier Review

A popular spot for fisherman but try to visit near sunset when the pier's colony of Little Penguins return to their roost.

St. Kilda Pier shows off the best of Melbourne's most famous beach neighborhood. The best time to go is right before sunset so that you can walk all the way out to the end and see the colony of fairy penguins return for the evening. (Forget Phillip Island, you can find a mini-version for as cheap as a tram ride to St. Kilda).

Lo mejor del muelle de St Kilda es la comunidad de pingüinos que hicieron de ese rinconcito su hogar. Si vas cuando está por caer el sol vas a poder verlos en su hábitat natural e interactuando entre sí. Eso sí, tenés que tener suerte e ir en un día en que realmente tienen ganas de mostrarse. Obviamente, en invierno es más fácil pero hay gente que logra verlo en otras épocas. Es gratuito y hay gente que trabaja en el refugio que te explica toda la historia y el comportamiento de los pingüinos y eso es genial.
