St. George's Hall is the oldest church in Prague Castle. Founded in 920 by Vladislav I, the Bohemian Grand Duke, St. George's Abbey of Benedict was added in 973. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1142. Its Baroque front was built in the late 17th century. The saint was buried in the Gothic Ludmila chapel. Vladislav and Bresswav II were also buried.
