The Kalonburg Palace on Castle Island is also called Hamlet Castle. Shakespeare created Hamlet based on the castle. Andersen, the father of fairy tales, once called Helsinger "the most beautiful corner of Denmark" and it was the stronghold of the Erle Strait and the symbol of the royal authority of Denmark.
The Castle Island area contains several ancient buildings, which are separated by the inland rivers of Copenhagen and look like an island, but actually do not feel like an island when walking. The Danish parliament is in the middle and the museum is very close. The Thorvaldsens Museum is located on the Northwest side, and the Dansk Jodisk museum is located on the southwest side. The old buildings and landscapes make people associate and are good places to take photos.

Unknowingly, I came here from the pedestrian street, an area surrounded by the canal, so it's called "island". It's all some old and distinctive buildings, which deserve close observation.

This is a large area of Copenhagen. The buildings are concentrated. Because there are rivers separated from the outside world, it is called an island. In fact, there is not much "island" feeling. This area is suitable for walking because there are so many architectural sculptures worth seeing.
