In the southeast of Hobart, there is a famous world cultural heritage site, Port Arthur Exile Site, which is one of the historic sites of Australian prisoners. There is a small island on the sea called Death Island, which is dedicated to the burial of the dead. During 1833-1877, more than 1,000 people were buried there. Prisoners can be released to do crafts or small businesses, and can not return to Britain. I think the local white people living here today may be the descendants of these people.

It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Hobart to the Tourist Center to buy tickets. Because of time constraints, we only chose to travel around the island. Now Port Arthur has become a park for people to spend their holidays and have no sense of gloom and terror.
