The Byzantine Museum of Culture is located in Thessaloniki. Until 2004, eleven exhibition halls of the museum were gradually opened. In 2005, the museum was named "Best Museum" by the European Commission. The theme of the first exhibition is "Early Christian Church", focusing mainly on the church buildings and decorations of the first centuries of Christianity. The second exhibition is entitled "Early Christian Cities and Residences". It shows all aspects of economic life, including housing, furniture and decoration, crafts, clothing and diet. The third exhibition reflects the characteristics of early Christian tombs, focusing mainly on Tomb architecture and painting. Tourists can enjoy the jewelry and pottery unearthed from the tomb. In the following exhibition hall, we will introduce monasticism, anti-idolatry, the futility of Cyril and Meadow's apostles and so on. The latter two exhibition halls are mainly used to show the daily life of the Byzantine Emperor and a Byzantine castle.

Greece is second only to the Byzantine Museum in Athens. The exhibition did not last as long as Athens did from the Byzantine period to the pre-independence period of Greece, but because Thessaloniki was the capital of Macedonia in northern Greece for a long time, and was the political, economic, cultural and military center of the region, the collection was considerable.
