Hong San See Temple Review

Through visiting and consulting materials, I learned that : Fengshan Temple was built between 1908 and 1913 by Fujian people in Singapore. The Chinese regard Fengshan Temple as "the temple on Phoenix Mountain" dedicated to the God of wealth, Guang Ze Zun Wang. Fengshan Temple once had a magnificent sea view.

Founded in 1836, the Fengshan Temple was built by immigrants from Fujian Province, China. It symbolizes how immigrants can find better wealth in other countries and achieve success and wealth behind industry and wisdom. Built in a traditional Chinese architectural style, the temple has rich decorations, such as decorative wooden pillars, granite plaques and grand main halls. The building materials are all from China.

The ancestral temple is the Fengshan Temple in Shishan, Nan'an, Fujian Province. The temple in Singapore was built in 1836 and has a history of nearly 280 years. It has just been repaired recently. Dragon dancing and lion dancing are indispensable during the New Year's festival.
