Pretty place, but do NOT expect a bird show SEQ resident born & bred. Had never been to David Fleay's. Did not realise it was "heritage listed" so we were pretty excited to tick this one off the list. Under $60 for a family of 4. Happy with that. But no birds. No raptors to be seen. No owls. Closed or whatever. Nothing advised on arrival. Ran to see the "Fleay's in Flight" show and they brought out a snake! Really, Sooooo disappointing. Only highlight was the platypus was in full view. Bilby was hiding. But really - Qld Parks need to UP THEIR GAME if they want the people to come - Currumbin, Lone Pine, Aust Zoo - they know how to put on a bird show! Our $60 was a "donation" to Qld Parks

The surrogate rat, koala, is so cute. I have no objection to taking pictures with him casually. We have a family, people and animals to shoot together. The scenery is beautiful and charming. Be close to the ground and feel the nature. Come again next year.
