Bit dated but regards to staff and stay couldn’t complain about anything slept well and staff were very friendly and accommodating would defo stay again.
Amazing value, excellent amenities- the jacuzzi was fabulous! Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make the stay a good one. Food in the bar and restaurant was of excellent quality. Lots to choose from at breakfast - will definitely go again
Exceptional service and The Lygon Arms Hotel deserves it’s Title Iconic
Booked one night only for my 65th Birthday Treat
And made a reservation at The Grill James Martins inspirational meals and his Tasty wine :)
Look forward to to my return

Head for the hills…and the dancing daffodils. In the expansive grounds of a 16th-century timber-framed house, is the perfect retreat à deux. Way up a simple track, you already feel yourself unwinding as you approach your traditional timber framed hideaway awaiting you. The cottage sits in unspoilt rolling countryside and was built entirely out of locally sourced stone, oak and handcrafted leaded light windows. Inside you will be met by a cottage built by a Master Craftsmen with fine details, charm and character. Settle on the weighty leather sofa next to the wood-burner stacked high with logs from the nearby woods. The kitchen is well equipped, open plan and nestled around the Aga, the floor is made out of natural stone with underfloor heating. As you climb up the oak staircase you will be met by an open plan bedroom, dressing room overlooking the sitting room below from the galleried landing. It would be a treat of an evening to follow the babbling brook through the ancient orchid-dotted woodland. Rest awhile at the owner's perfect little bothy, then retire to your own secluded little garden with its picture-postcard views across open pastures to the Teme and Kyre valleys. Venture further to ‘foodie’ Ludlow full of fabulous various restaurants, book-lined Hay-on-Wye, Ironbridge industrial heritage, the magnificent Malvern Hills is a wonderful way to spend the afternoon walking. Ludlow Castle, Croft Castle, Eastnor Castle and many more National Trust properties are within easy distance. Take to the slow life on the steam railway, stride out on the Mortimer Trail, meander through forgotten Herefordshire villages. Leading directly from the cottage is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways where badgers, woodpeckers, buzzards and owls may be seen. Buzzards soar overhead, rabbits scamper in the fields that surround you. Tenbury wells, an attractive spa and market town in the Teme Valley is 4 miles away and the fine Georgian town of Ludlow is only a 15 minute drive.About pets:Pets allowed: dogs and cats (limit 3 total).About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About customRules:Please don't leave your animals unattended in the property..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.
