Beautiful hotel that still preserves its historical architecture with modern luxuries. We enjoyed the heated floor (it's so comfortable to walk around) and the oxygen machine (a lifesaver when we just reached Lhasa!). Special thanks to Guest Service staff - 次塔 for coordinating breakfast and housekeeping with us throughout our stay, and for helping to safekeep our forgotten item when we checked out! Her warm hospitality helped us ease into the high altitude environment more easily! Oh and don't forget to try the Indian restaurant within the hotel - it's extremely delicious and the price is affordable! We hope to return soon!
When we travel, some places feel like just lodging, and some instantly feel like home. Let’s get the obvious out of the way first — waking up to a direct view of the Potala Palace from your bed, soaking in a full-sized bathtub, and relaxing on the viewing deck. That’s probably why you clicked into this property anyway.
But what truly makes this homestay special is the people. This is a place where no one feels like a stranger. We hung out with the staff and other guests at the front desk, learned to make handicrafts, shared drinks, and chatted until late into the night.
A special shoutout to the boss, Mr. Zhou, for creating such a welcoming and unique place. We came as tourists, and we left as friends.
