If you’re staying in Hohhot and want a genuine, memorable experience, this is the place!!! I can’t recommend this homestay enough. From the moment we stepped into the compound, the warmth of the family was immediately felt. You’ll be welcomed by a lovely lady, her husband, and his brother, who treat you less like a guest and more like family. Within minutes of arriving, they greeted us with snacks, a gift, and let us know they were already preparing a local dinner. We sat down with them that evening, sharing a spread of local dishes and drinks, it was a genuinely special night. I don’t speak a word of Chinese, and yet through Translate we had a wonderful time together. Before heading to bed, they asked what time we needed to leave in the morning so breakfast would be ready for us which was very nice! Morning came with their dogs greeting us and a delicious homemade local breakfast waiting at the table. As for the yurt itself, it’s beautiful and incredibly cozy inside, exactly what you’d hope for. There’s heating in there in case you get cold as well. We stayed two nights, and on our second evening we had to turn in early for an early flight. The other guest, though, stayed up late singing and dancing with the family, which honestly made me wish we could have stayed longer. I’d give this place a 20/10 if I could. I booked it thinking it was just somewhere interesting to sleep for the night. What I didn’t know was that it would end up being a highlight of my trip to China.

Amazing place! Amazing hosts! Amazing team! Amazing service! The Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿) is a beautiful little boutique hotel where nothing is missing: the rooms are gorgeous and spotlessly clean, and the team is incredibly friendly and helpful. A real highlight is the delicious tea ceremony – the perfect way to end the evening while sharing stories. The hosts make it so easy to feel at home! If you need help organizing your trip, you can fully rely on the hotel team – simply fantastic. The Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿) is located right by the riverside promenade and close to the city center. There’s nothing better than strolling back to the hotel after an iced hotpot, across the town square and along the river – highly recommended! If you’re stopping in Aershan, you should definitely stay at the Aershan Guiye Homestay (阿尔山归野宿集民宿). We would come back anytime – and we already miss our wonderful hosts!

If you're into horse riding and trekking by horse in the different grassland settings this is the place. It is about 30 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes to Hailar city. I stayed in a neat, comfortable cabin overlooking the meandering river. There are yurts which are are more elegant and bigger. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner according to the local cuisine which I found most enjoyable. At the horse ranch side there is a coffee shop, a horse tack shop and a place to mingle and interact with guests and trainers. The staff members are conversant in English, friendly and helpful. Here you can arrange horse riding and tour packages to suit your needs and horse riding abilities. It includes accommodation, food, training, tack, safety wear and travel to and from the grassland excursion and a video grapher to take some stunning photos and videos. It also includes pick-up and drop-off from the airport. The instructors are well trained, giving advice and training at the ranch for 2 days before heading out onto the trails. Safety was always paramount, adjusted to your skill level as well as having horses of good training and temperament. All in all it was a fantastic experience for me, enjoying the vastness and glorious grasslands on horseback. Thanks to a wonderful team

由於姑娘高考，想選擇安靜的酒店，所以選擇了離馬路稍遠一點的九佳賓館。整體入住體驗超出預期。客房佈置温馨雅緻，衞生做得十分到位，設施齊全且使用順暢。房間隔音效果良好，採光也特別好，休息得很安穩，服務也貼心周到，賓館老闆在高考第一天還特意送了西瓜吃，特別感謝，這次住宿是一次很舒心的入住體驗。

I found this guesthouse as I was driving up the G331 from Erguna to Beijicun as part of my 2 0 day road trip loop from the northernmost part of China to A'ershan and back. Mo'edaogazhen is a very small, quiet town and I was the only guest in this guesthouse. I got a friendly welcome when I arrived by the Auntie and Uncle. I was welcomed to my room and got settled in. As an Englishman, I had to go down to the police station and then to another hotel to have my location registered - a Chinese Government requirement. The boss jumped in the car and saw me get it sorted nice and smoothly with no hassle. The room was nice and comfy and in the traditional wooden style which suited my trip well. A couple of improvements would be to make sure the room has a kettle on arrival and that the shower won't flood for other guests. But no harm done, I slept well and enjoyed plenty of Gongfu tea sessions. As I left, the Auntie/Sister gave me two Russian pastries which I was very appreciative of. Things like this leave a lasting impression, especially for us foreign travellers. I ended up driving from Erguna to Beijicun via the G331 - the most isolated section in the nation - and these pastries saw me through the journey well. Thank you both and Happy Chinese New Year!

We had such a great experience during our stay! The hosts went above and beyond from start to finish — they even picked us up and dropped us off at the railway station, which made everything so convenient. 🚗🚝 Before our trip, they added us on WeChat and were incredibly helpful in providing suggestions and answering all our questions.🤳 Since we didn’t have our own car, they kindly took us to nearby attractions so we could explore the area. The staff was super friendly and attentive throughout our stay. ❤️ When our room was a bit cold as the main heater was still warming up, they immediately brought over an extra heater to make us more comfortable. ☺️ They also prepared a delicious dinner and even brought it directly to our villa — then came back later to collect the dishes, which was such thoughtful service. 🍽️ The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, with peaceful mountain trails to hike and adorable animals nearby. ⛰️🐑 Overall, it was a warm, welcoming, and memorable experience — we would definitely love to come back again! 🇲🇳
