Love this place. Its theme is unique, place is clean, space is good and service is superb. The owner and his staff have been really helpful with taxi booking, restaurants recommendations and places to shop. It felt more like home than a hotel.
We reached earlier than the check-in timing and they gave up early checkin which was amazing since it was -13 degrees outside. They kept checking in with us if we need any assistance or have any questions that they can help answer. This place is also usually quite fully booked.
Would love to come back again to visit
ผผู้เข้าพัก
PPaucassoI am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience.
I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed.
After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend.
In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me.
I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness.
Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis village home stay is fantastic. The staff / family customer service is excellent and they really made us feel at home. We stayed 6 days and would love to come back. Since we didn't have a car, they gave us 2 bicycles to use. We rode into then mountains and into the town center. A lovely place to stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักThe room was fairly comfortable and the service was really great. But we kept finding little beetles in our room which made me so itchy at night when sleeping. Also I don’t think they cleaned the floor because we found fake eyelashes and old contact lens on the bathroom floor which was very nasty. They have a washing machine available which was very convenient especially after spending a day in the volcanoes where it’s dusty and all our clothes were dirty. Breakfast was alright…typical inner Mongolian breakfast, nothing special. There’s actually no volcano view but it didn’t really matter much. We were on the second floor and it was nice to be up there. I wish they had better soundproofing windows because every night there’s fireworks and they were so loud and went on until midnight. With a young child, it was impossible to sleep early. Overall, the service was really great!
