Visited recently and here's my take:
- Service was top-notch! The manager was super attentive to our complaints and requests 👍
- Food was delicious, enjoyed our meals!
- Major issue though: MOSQUITOES everywhere in the room! 😔 Our 1-year-old and 4-month-old babies were bitten all over (face, arms, legs, neck...) and cried all night. Not cool for a family with little ones.
Overall, service and food were great but the mosquito situation needs serious fixing if you have kids.
A simple hotel that functions well. Cool aircon, clear Cable TV channels and good WiFi. Strong cold shower water pressure. Only soap provided. Bring your own towels because the provided towels has turned to brownish instead of white. Some stains on the bedsheets. Keep your expectations low. 🤣
There are 3 things I like about this hotel. 1 is they have water cooler available for drinking water. 2 is their rain shower. 3 is their toiletries are environmentally friendly. But this particular stay was not good. I arrived a d the corridor smelled dirty. The room smelled bad. There was leakage from the bidet. And the flush smelled bad as well, throughout all my stay. The staff looked into it but didn't fix it until I left. I'm now booking airbnbs insted.
Отличный современный отель. Розетки подходят для европейских вилок, кондиционер, чайник, шампунь, гель и кондиционер, вообщем весь набор. Завтраки в номер. Чудесный отзывчивый персонал. Единственный минус нет горячей воды. Но это не помешало продлить проживание в этом отеле еще на 5 дней
Overall, it was a nice experience due to the polite staff; nevertheless, the room was unkempt, had no window, and provided limited amenities. The buffet also offered a limited selection of food items. The staff needed to continue tidying the room. Thanks, Ironwood; see you again next time!

GV hotels are failing in amenities.
We stay here every other month. Everything is excellent. Their Salt & Pepper restaurant has amazing food. It is 15 minutes from Calbayog airport. Calbayog is perfectly situated for a hop flight of about an hour to Manila or Cebu.
Top notch! Rooms were comfy and bed is comparable to high end hotels.. Breakfast was delicious! The spa has very reasonable prices and excellent service.. I wil surely book in this hotel again when I got back to Tacloban
AAljon M.I was planning to extend for another day, but I was informed that if the next booking isn't paid before the current one ends, the hotel staff will remove your belongings. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make the payment in time because I wasn’t near the hotel and had no access to GCash as I was in the mountains.
Anyway, all the photos they shared are accurate — I really like it here! The place is very clean and feels brand new!

However, we have noticed different vehicles using the same spots throughout the day, which suggests no specific reservations are actually in place for individual spaces.
We believe parking should be on a first-come, first-served basis since all guests pay the same rate for their stay. We would like to clarify – does the hotel have designated VIP parking spaces that are separate from general guest parking?”
