Visited recently and here's my take:
- Service was top-notch! The manager was super attentive to our complaints and requests 👍
- Food was delicious, enjoyed our meals!
- Major issue though: MOSQUITOES everywhere in the room! 😔 Our 1-year-old and 4-month-old babies were bitten all over (face, arms, legs, neck...) and cried all night. Not cool for a family with little ones.
Overall, service and food were great but the mosquito situation needs serious fixing if you have kids.
A simple hotel that functions well. Cool aircon, clear Cable TV channels and good WiFi. Strong cold shower water pressure. Only soap provided. Bring your own towels because the provided towels has turned to brownish instead of white. Some stains on the bedsheets. Keep your expectations low. 🤣
Overall, it was a nice experience due to the polite staff; nevertheless, the room was unkempt, had no window, and provided limited amenities. The buffet also offered a limited selection of food items. The staff needed to continue tidying the room. Thanks, Ironwood; see you again next time!

GV hotels are failing in amenities.
We stay here every other month. Everything is excellent. Their Salt & Pepper restaurant has amazing food. It is 15 minutes from Calbayog airport. Calbayog is perfectly situated for a hop flight of about an hour to Manila or Cebu.
The room was ok…room was not cold, air conditioning is not properly working, the funny thing is they will just give u one key card… so that u cannot leave ur room while the ac is on, and when u comeback specially at noon, it would be a sauna…
