RRainPoringThis is one of the available furnished apartment units in the same building as the Staz Hotel Dongtan.
Compared to the Staz, you’re provided with kitchen utensils and dish ware. Typical hotel amenities such as toothbrushes and hand soap are not included and you’ll need to bring your own.
Check in was fairly easy. There is an automated machine on the ground floor to scan your passport. It will dispense a room card for you and a small receipt with the assigned room number. An attendant is usually present near the machine.
The elevator to go up to the rooms is very close by and there is a convenience store within the building not too far from the check in counter.
Room was fairly clean upon entry. There was some dust in some areas but nothing out of the ordinary. There are no international outlets in the room so make sure you bring a converter or grab one from a nearby convenience store if the one in the building doesn’t have them or you can also check if the front desk keeps any to loan out.
The room includes its own washing machine but you’ll need to provide your own detergent.
My room was given a view of the nearby shopping mall. It’s not the most spectacular view of the area compared to other hotels in the vicinity but it did not face any of the nearby roadways compared to some of the other units in the same building.
Location wise it’s very accessible via a short bus ride from the nearest station. There are nearby airport bus stops you can use to get here from the airport and to go back to the airport. It can be up to 90 min or less depending on the traffic and time of day you depart.
The price for my stay was very reasonable and I had a comfortable night’s rest. I would consider this location again in the future.
